This is a really cool way to display the results! Very well done!

And the Press Conference! Really cool to hear from the top 3 athletes and the Q+A.

taking a book from motocross and supercross.. finally. these need to happen at WC level but... never gonna happen.

Sidebar- what if Monster Energy US DH becomes the PREMIER racing league in the world? i could easily see it. money, venue, babes, tracks, no UCI BS...
  • 3 0
@ace9: specifically the babes. I think that would really sell it.

 Damn, Dakotah killed it!
  • 15 0
I’m really hoping his WC season is a great one, dude deserves it!

What happened to Kailey Skelton? she was ripping! sad to se her DNF Frown
  • 7 0
She crashed on the table top on the finish straight with 50 yards to go.

I raced the 30-39, must say the course was a blast and Clay (and team) hosted an amazing event! The precision of the professional riders M&F was a treat to see in person.

Great to see the press conference a la Supercross. Need more of this professionalism surrounding the races, in MTB.

The venue was top notch. Great job Niko! The weekend ran pretty smooth and I had a blast minus a crash. Nice job Clay!

Glenn with D.I.R.T. Medical is awesome. Thanks for patching me up.

Constructive criticism:
- Why did the organizers close the final jump for the Cat 2/3 riders as it had a “Go Around”. Let the rider make the choice just as you let them do the entire way down Stampede. The wind was only bad on Friday, you can’t use that as an excuse. You told us on BikeReg we would run the entire course with optional re-routes. I’m confused?

Hope for the future:
There was some sandbagging going on in the Cat 2/3 categories. There were a few guys who placed top 3 in Cat 2/3 that also would have podiumed in Cat 1 and had a respectable pro time. That definitely needs sorted.

I find there's a huge amount of sandbagging in cat 2/3 historically. Makes me wonder if it's possible to add restrictions that bump you up a category once you get a top 5 riding with the amateurs
  • 6 1
Kailey crashed on the final table in the finish straight with 50 yards to go, she's fine but huge bummer.
  • 4 0
Josh Hill in his first professional DH race with a solid 30th. More pro MX & SX riders in DH would be sick!
  • 3 0
I was watching his IG stories all weekend. He seems to be loving it and I hope he can make the transition. Only a week or so on his DH rig and already racing the pro class. It'll be interesting to see if he shows up at the rest of the rounds and how much better he gets throughout the summer.

Buddy of mine was marshaling right next to the corner where Richie wiped out, huge bummer! He was fast as heck in qualies
  • 2 0
I really wished him some DH podium
  • 3 0
Loving this, great to see a national series giving visibility to a lot of local talent! Great work Clay and team!
  • 2 0
So happy to see this premiere series happening. If you race DH-get to these races.

SR Suntour also had a hole shot prize...fastest time to the first split in the mens and womens races got $1000 each.
  • 3 0
@lwkwafi: Plus a $500 hole shot award for the person in each pro cat that was fastest to split 1.
  • 1 0
@SRSuntour: big respect to the brand doing something new and unique for rewarding riders, I was pretty stoked when I saw the news about it initially

We not talking about the women's split lead. A biological man (from what I can gather but hard to find info) Bee Black, aka Brandon bee riding in the women's elites???
Genuinely interested in people's opinions, a quick search and all I find is pro women's sports articles. Aka anti trans sports advocates talking about it.
Came 12th overall but that split is scary.

Anywho comment your comments. Really want to see where the community lies on this touchy subject.
  • 1 0
 What split lead?
  • 1 0
 @mustbike: Elite Women's Finish Spread
The time difference (in seconds) of the elite women.
  • 3 0
@JamesPBlaw: The time difference? LIke how Aletha put 2s on the reigning junior world champ and can't even race junior WC's til next year? Yeah, it's amazing!
  • 4 0
@JamesPBlaw: You realize that means she was 35 seconds behind the leader? Didn't have any good splits. Wether its a dude or not still slow af.
  • 2 0
Yea I think you might be reading the chart backwards
  • 2 0
@JamesPBlaw: you’re reading the chart backwards
  • 1 0
 @shredthe915: hahaha wow. Fair enough.
  • 1 0
Black bee is like a super hero name
  • 1 0
 NM.
  • 1 1
Great breakdown of splits / final times. great article!
  • 1 3
There is a female rider called Black Bee?!
  • 7 1
Yes, but she didn't have a very good race. Her brother Bumble also had to pull out so not a great day for the hive.
  • 3 5
From what I can find, I think Black bee is a biological man. Honestly hard to find info about other than a few insta posts....
  • 1 1
@JamesPBlaw: this is correct. the name is bee black.
  • 1 3
 @stunnanumma1: it's Brandon.
  • 2 3
@JamesPBlaw: correct biological male. He/she raced cat 1 35+ female only a couple of months ago at Bootleg Canyon.

@JamesPBlaw: Bee Black is a woman, as evidenced by her racing in the women's class. Not sure if your misgendering and deadnaming is on purpose, but given you're all over the comments on this post doing it I'm guessing it's intentional. No need for that vitriolic garbage here.
  • 6 2
@daceto817: I'd venture to say that 99% of people at the event disagree with you on this one. But we can't speak up because we'll be accused of "misgendering" and "deadnaming". Sorry if I don't think my daughter or her friends should compete against someone that was born with a penis.
  • 4 1
@daceto817: just trying to see where people lie. Personally I don't think it's fair. I couldn't care less if about people's decisions on gender identity and I have absolutely no issue with people being trans but I personally draw the line at competitive sports. I think it's an unfair advantage much like doping
