Darren Kinnaird is the ringleader for all things Crankworx, and with so much change happening these days in the world of mountain bike events, Crankworx seems uniquely poised to push the sport forward. When we heard about a big announcement from Crankworx about what to expect from the series next year, Brian Park and I caught up with Kinnaird to hear the full story.

Every time I see one of these PB podcasts, I get my hopes up hoping to see Levy's name.

Yeah, we miss him. He's not coming back anytime soon, but Kaz and I did record with Levy yesterday in my freezing cold garage.

@brianpark: Nice. And also thanks Brian for the heads up.

Also super stoked to see Alicia back! Our teen daughter experienced a similar brain injury, and almost every bit of Alicia's story of recovery parallels ours.

@ATXZJ: Hey, thanks so much for the kind words. I'm really sorry to hear your daughter has had a similar injury. I am sure that's been no fun for anyone in your family. I'm so glad to be partly back and so thankful that everyone around me has been patient and supportive (thanks PB people). I hope things keep looking up for your daughter!

@brianpark: I wonder if levy has papparizi outside his house with how devoted people are to his whereabouts? But I guess when the face of a podcast disappears people would ask questions

@Grady-Harris: I have a face for radio, as my mother says

@brianpark: so why revel in the information asymmetry?

Such an opportunity for crankworkx to possibly take the reins when the EDR is canned and they mess up downhill. Seems like they have the right attitude towards riders and their events speak for themselves. World Series is needed, not a European one.

@alicialeggett could you do a spotify playlist where the music corner (including one from the guest?) gets added?

I generally listen to podcasts whilst driving so forget what was suggested before I've had chance to look it up. I've been hooked on Amigo the Devil since hearing about him via the pod, fortunately that was a pretty memorable name.

Hey there, not a bad idea at all. I just made that here with most of the backlog: open.spotify.com/playlist/282MhrbOhnQr7Ga8p5iL6V?si=dc555fcd8321416a

It's definitely missing a lot (every live performance, cool collaborations that aren't on spotify, etc). But I'll try to make it something we continually update as we make more suggestions. For now, it's a cool and very eclectic mix. Enjoy.

 Where's the advent calendar comp?

@Canadmos: An editor has now confirmed it's not running.

I will all ways be a Mike and Mike fan but Dario's on camera game has progressed so much nice work and Alicia has progressed the most becoming quite the pod host. Nice work everyone

Is Dario’s vocal fry bothering only me?
It seems worse every time.
