I've learned a lot from Friday Fails, but perhaps the most important is not to ask if somebody is alright or good while they're still actively crashing. Pump the brakes here folks.
  • 2 0
 I know, right?? 0:49 she's still tumbling...
  • 5 0
That one and also barking instructions at the crux moment, lip or rock face etc. It never works.
  • 1 0
 Indeed... indeed.
  • 1 0
"you alright" just after they slammed themselves.... Probably not
  • 1 0
 Truth!
  • 2 0
That and the guttural screaming that some people do.

I wish I could see the aftermath of these girlfriend/wife wipeouts haha

"You can do it babe!" (oh shit, I'm in for it....)

It's really amazing how many people I still see on trails that actively dare people who are not ready to do difficult features. girlfriends that say they've been turned off to MTB because their boyfriends tell them to go for it and they wipe badly (and in one case ran across a girl who had a concussion and passed out). but just in general a peer pressure by people who find something easy and don't understand how not everyone can get by on adrenaline and catlike reflexes. I dont mind the dumbass that clearly doesnt know they are in over their head, but as a PSA: please dont be a peer pressure douchebag.

My gf rides topless when it's hot. When she wrecks, not a peep 'lets go again' Luckiest find on the planet fellas!
  • 11 0
 @klunky: uh ok sure man
  • 26 0
I really hope the racer at 1:35 didn't perish!
"Nice and slow, slow, slow" at 1:47...er..maybe a little faster?
  • 10 0
1:47 I think he wants to break up with her but lacks the courage to do so.
  • 10 0
@oscartheballer: haha yeah. ok definitely make sure you lock up your front brake. get your weight totally forward for this compression. and perfect!
  • 3 0
The way that front wheel just died, you know it's all over at that exact moment.
  • 5 1
Speed on 1:47 was okay, weight distribution wasn't great and it looked like a front brake grab happened. I won't take anyone on steep terrain unless they can show they don't grab a fistful of front brake when they're nervous-it's one of the most reliable techniques for snapping a collarbone.

The last clip was not covered by the outro! You did it Pinkbike, you mutha f**k'n did it!
  • 4 0
Been doing this for a few weeks now…
  • 20 0
2:29 - Ahhh, the broken rib wheeze.
  • 4 0
As long as it's only 1 or 2 ribs, not that bad. When it's more than 2, that's several weeks of pain.
  • 7 0
 Collapsed lang song!
  • 8 0
Should have been the collapsed lung song! Stupid autocorrect!
  • 22 1
 @mtbwillems: Auld Lung Syne
  • 8 0
Poor fella confused getting exercise with getting exorcised
  • 4 0
The noise when you hear 'hunni I am pregnant'
  • 3 0
@wyorider: I currently have two broken ribs and just hit week three of pain haha.
  • 3 0
 @oreamnos: made me LOL
  • 2 0
@jessemeyers: ahh week 3.. when the bone dissolves, the two broken parts seperate completely and you feel like day 1 again. Ribs are the gift that keeps on giving. Heal up & try not to laugh at any comment gold

I have been there and done that. Didn't like it.
  • 16 0
Brought to you by Dyedbro, more like almost died bro
  • 5 0
 Deadbro
  • 14 0
 You good?
  • 18 0
yes, thank you for asking me while I'm mid crash and haven't even had a chance to assess whether my head is still actually attached to my body or not....
  • 12 0
After talking to Saint Peter for a couple seconds, the light fades and dimly you become aware...that your bud is asking if you're good. No breh. I actually died a little.
  • 1 0
There was an 'estas bien?' followed immediately by a 'you good?' after the next fail.
  • 2 0
Marsellus Wallace: "I'm pretty fckn far from okay."
  • 1 0
The race run guy… totally unconscious. “You good?” Crickets
  • 13 0
Damn, you know it's a good week when you're rewinding the very first clip!
  • 4 0
That was gruesome. I mean what the hell? He was looking straight at where he went. I wouldn't want to have to be reliving that during the downtime getting over broken ribs and/or a collarbone.
  • 1 0
He had a wide, side dangle as soon as he hit the wood - he knew he was off target, but he committed anyway.
  • 2 0
That drop has such a sketchy/ almost blind run up.
  • 4 0
His stanchion now has a “slight scratch but doesn’t affect performance”
  • 12 0
Mountain creek took some people out this week
  • 4 0
Very first clip, 1:00 and 2:12. MCBP will eat you up!!
  • 1 0
@bigb73: There is a third Creek crash on Deviant
  • 3 1
This week i was torn between " thanks for filming that until the end" and " why aren't they calling for the ambulance instead of filming " Please note a few bikes and riders where injured to create this content.
  • 3 0
Riders are always hurt in the weekly fails compilation!!
  • 3 0
Folks, be careful @ :40. Unsure how more riders aren't breaking necks on these crashes.

That was a particularly brutal episode. O.O Hope all are healing well.
  • 2 0
yeah, not great that just pushing the bike forward like that and hoping it works out has become a fairly popular drop "technique" it seems. wonder why... but really have to wonder how many are being hurt nowadays. personally, I hardly hear about injuries at all unless it's a prominent pro.
  • 2 1
Watching these vids, it's a mystery how anybody survives long enough to become competent at drops and jumps. The first clip should come with a XXX rating, and camera guy should be charged with aiding and abetting a suicide attempt.
  • 5 0
 I saw dead people.
  • 4 0
good grief that first one was FINISH HIM Fatality mortal combat style.
  • 3 0
I didn't start watching these on a normal basis until around #220... Now I'm crashing more often. Coincidence? I think not!
  • 4 0
Solid camera work at 57 secs. Mates bins it but he didn't waver at all.
  • 4 0
Even an "Estas bien?" in there, multicultural fail edition.
  • 4 0
 “Let’s go Brian!”
  • 13 0
Narrator voice: "Brian did NOT go."
  • 3 0
 @kingpine: Comment gold right here!
  • 3 0
0:49 at least wait till he stops rolling before asking if he's ok
  • 1 0
By the look of it I'd say that resulted in a concussion at least. it's the kind of hit I'd want a moto lid for...
  • 1 0
Some genuine attempts here, but mostly another round of inert bodies on bikes--are these people dreaming 'coz it sure looks like they're asleep.
  • 2 0
A little Cumberland action , pretty sure that’s “ Blue Collar” at 2:30
  • 2 0
Definitely cumby but I thought it was the third section of buckets. You could be right though.
  • 1 0
I think you are right , good call !@warmerdamj:
  • 1 0
@Colinofthewoods: I've come off that stump too hard into that corner as well lol
  • 3 0
 "yYes sir! Oooh, nooo."
  • 1 0
Nice balance of skilled riders getting too rad and gumbys grabbing their front brakes on drops and rock rolls this week.
  • 1 0
@ :58 rider must have grabbed front brake while in midair! The way the bike changed direction and just dove into the ground, not sure I've seen that before.
  • 2 1
Anyone want to translate that Spanish? surprised that wasn't edited out with all the English swears.
  • 1 0
Roughly, " This guy cant jump, this guy cant jump... oh no, not again"
  • 5 0
@PartridgeSkillz: I don't think you know what "maricón" means.
  • 1 0
 This was an extra-brutal wee.
That rider at1:28 was not moving at all at the end of the clip. He was OUT.
  • 2 0
3:06 - scrubs as riding kit??
