We’re stoked to release the new Spectral:ON CFR, the newest iteration of our Spectral:ON range featuring a bigger battery, lighter and stiffer frame, along with a lower centre of gravity and slacker head angle.

So, what exactly is new?

First up is a newly designed frame, featuring a carbon rear triangle for the first time in our Spectral:ON range. Our aim was to reduce any weight where possible. Whilst more weight can give the added bonus of a more planted feeling ride, knowing we were going to up our battery capacity in the bike meant that grams needed to be shaved off before we even got to loading the bike up with power.

Up or down, rough or smooth, the Spectral:ON excels in every situation.

Whilst we were back at the drawing boards we made sure that the new Spectral ON was even stronger than its predecessors and with a new carbon layup and more efficient frame architecture, we’ve done just that as the new Spectal ON meets our higher Category 4E strength and resistance testing standards.

Ok, now for the bit you’ve all been waiting for, the new batteries. The Spectral:ON comes with 2 battery options, a 720wh option, which on average will see a rider do 77km and over 1,600m elevation on one charge, and a 900wh option which provides just over 97km and over 2,100m elevation on one charge. What’s more is that we’ve redesigned where the battery sits in the bike, lowering it so that the weight the battery holds helps towards a lower centre of gravity and an evenly balanced weight distribution within the bike.

huge luca fan, bummer he is subjected to creating these incredibly corny videos

Good news is he just had to answer a phone call, put on a helmet and ride. So the actual filming probably wasn’t too painful.

We can only hope no one forced him to watch it.

I would be soooooo happy if either of these two won a race this year. They really seem like the nicest dudes around...

Mark's a true Islander, quiet, hard working, but rowdy when necessary!

Cringe. Definitely a missed opportunity to showcase a new bike with 2 amazing riders. They should just copy Commencal's vids.

Old video game interface... hahahah! Good thing they also went for the electro-rock filler soundtrack that was often used in these old racing games! As long as it doesn't play that soundtrack on a hidden top tube speaker when you turn it on...

still waiting for class1/pedal assist emtb under 20kg, full power, discreet, like the RISE alloy. Not excited the industry is moving towards building emtb that look a monster truck.

If there is a meter that has to show you are having fun, it’s probably not fun, or at least anymore than a bike.

I wonder if category 4e means you can ride this bike like these two do?

This category also covers the requirements of categories 1e-3e. In addition, bicycles of this category are suitable for very rough and partly blocked terrain with steep slopes and higher speeds as a result thereof. Regular, moderate jumps by experienced riders are no problem for these bicycles. The regular and durable use of the bicycles on North Shore trails and in bike parks should, however, be excluded. Due to the higher stresses, these bicycles should be checked for possible damage after every ride. Full suspension bikes with medium suspension travel are typical for this category. The E-Bike specific information is mentioned on the CE marking on your bike.

@chmod: Wow that's too bad, I'm banging out laps on the North Shore on my Scott Ransom every day.

Shouldn't the fun-o-meter at the bottom of the video be maxed out at 100%?
