I'm sure it's a perfectly good fork, but they need to hire a new graphic designer - somehow it just looks cheap, especially in that black on the website. It's sort of hiding the brand, a bit apologetic or something. They're not going to break through in a tough market until customers feel good about standing next to their bike at the trail head

It looks cheap because it is

Doesn't the bulk of their money from their entry level forms and producing forks for other brands(marz and dvo for example) probably don't need to worry about high end products since they can just use sheer volume to make boatloads of cash.

 It's the classic Suntour graphic.....

Well thank goodness they're engineers and not fashion designers. Regardless, tastes change. Performance and reviews sell gear, not looks.

@bendrew: ironically these guys actually make DVO.
Dvo picks the shade of green and makes logos.
Litetally nothing is made at the DVO facility.

Ill stick my neck out here. I kind of like the matte colors and I think the built in fenders look pretty good. It could look really good with the right build, especially the black on black logo.

@olafthemoose: yep, it's a pleasantly reasonable MSRP compared to certain brands that can slash to 65% off when new product is coming. It is a good fork though, and not just for the money. When my fire sale Fox 38 arrives I'm excited to compare the two.

@scott-townes: lol if you actually think looks doesnt sell gear you're tweakin

Some body does need to wake up/fire GT's graphics design dept tho. That new logo looks shiite.
SO many great classic GT logos too, an they went with.... that

 @naptime: it’s the classic GT graphic…
  • 3 1
@panthermodern: to me the classic is the GT wings....

 @naptime: fair enough

@englertracing: suntour does not make every part of the fork for dvo. DVO gets the stanchions and some other parts from different manufacturers. There is a video on YouTube. And DVO is a completely different fork than suntour

@BeerGuzlinFool: Is there even a fork manufacturer that produces their own stanchions? I thought it was always a specialist company producing these, not the fork manufacturers themselves.

As for looks, I think they look perfectly fine.
  • 2 0
@vinay: I was just pointing out that DVO and suntour forks are very different suspension products. I have owned a DVO fork and shock and absolutely loved them. I don't have any experience with suntour but they look fine.

@BeerGuzlinFool: Ah yeah, I think I misread your post. Cheers!

I'd be happy to get this deal! as it states: "Integrated fender and hardware included" (removable) Team Grey all the way (currently only listed available in the 20x110mm option?), gloss/matte Black not looking to shabby either. "Hollow crown"
I'm curious as to why the 20x110mm axle doesn't list the "2 year warranty" like the 15x110mm one does?

I got a rock shock gold fork that I took off a norco sight vlt. First who wants it gets it for shipping only from California. And I won't spam your email either.

Under the trade descriptions act, maybe Win It Wednesday needs renaming... 'Win It Whenever (We Can Find A Sponsor)' perhaps?
  • 8 0
We actually aren't sure anyone ever wins, perhaps " Clickbait, track and spam you Wednesdays " ?

@pink505: feel free to withhold your entry, better odds for the rest of us.

@sfarnum: I declared my refusal to enter these contest when they took away the " click to enter" button. I still come to the comments as i get as much joy from this banter as i would "winning" a prize.
  • 2 1
@pink505: but you and people like you post the same tired-ass complaints every time. It’s not banter, it questions and concerns that have been asked and answered a thousand times over.

The slightest bit of research would tell you where to find a list of contest winners, how they are notified, and the policy for what happens to your info.

You’re adding just as much to the conversation as if I asked “Why don’t you ever tell us how many wheels the bike has!?!?!” under every first ride article.
  • 3 1
@sfarnum: You need to take a vacation ASAP.
Are you the one who downvotes all my " looks like a session" comments as well!
  • 2 0
@pink505: I agree, I’m hoping next week’s prize is a trip to Whistler!

For what it’s worth I hear Fox has some awesome deals on their forks right now as well as Jenson USA right now on their website 500us for a new Fox 38 Grip 2

If you can settle for black stanktions it's only $400!
  • 8 1
@AndrewHornor: Black stanchions? I’d have to ride at night to hide my shame.

I always wanted to try a DVO fork
  • 4 0
From what I know Suntour just manufactures the DVO stuff, but it’s far from the same. Just like XFusion manufacturers Ohlins.
  • 2 1
 Don’t lol

Watch this video about DVO ans Suntour manufacturing.

Owner of a two year old Diamond fork from DVO...... Don't.... Just don't.... My fork has been sent back twice on warranty issues because their QC is ssubpar.Im not alone in this either. Just take a quick interwebb sluth on the QC of thier products... Such a shame too because i actully like what they are trying to do.... But friends don't let friends DVO.... Not even once.

@OlSkoolJake: whats wrong with it. I’ve been on an onyx and jade x for like three years and have been very happy with them.
  • 1 0
@Jtfranson: it was poorly made, with no QC done.... My stanchions had scarring on them from day one. The steer tube need to me machined again as the tube has a ridge in it that would cause the fork to not seat proper in the headset... They f*cked up with their proprietary bladder system and basically has to do machining on that. Basically their was no QC when they sent out that batch of forks to bike makers.
