A new bike will make you a better rider… right?

As a bike shop, we see this line of thinking all the time. There may occasionally be some truth to it, but never to the degree some folks expect. Last December, we brought Devinci Bikes into our catalog. We wanted to announce the news in a fun way and asked Devinci if they had any athletes we could work with on our launch promotion. To our surprise, they suggested Yoann Barelli. We said yes before they could change their mind.

Our brainstorming session led us to dream up a video where we would attempt to find out how Yoann is so good at riding bikes. We would question how he could develop such skills. Surely it couldn't be anything along the lines of hard work?

We made this gross video and we're still not sure if it was a good use of funds. On the other hand, we got to meet Yoann who was a total champ and, if you can believe it, even cooler in person.

In the end, the jury is still out, it might be the bikes.
