Scott has created a unique custom design for Nino this week inspired by the South African national colours.

Nino is running a full SRAM XX SL Transmission drivetrain with a power meter equipped crankset.

With the long stages, riders must carry their own kit and water supply between feed zones. Nino is using Topeak's Burrito pack with its Airbooster CO2 inflator.

To keep track of the stages Nino is running a Garmin Edge 130 Plus computer mounted to his usual choice of Syncros Fraser IC SL WC -40° bars in a 700mm width.

 @ratedgg13: I was expecting for that to happen much earlier. With those negative rise stems, they can't spin the bars around anyway. A direct mount stem allows for a much taller hence stronger headtube without getting in the way. I think the only thing holding them back is that they feel the audience isn't quite ready for cables and hoses guided through the lower headset bearing.

 I think we can see why officially Spark is not Flight attendant compatible. The bottom shock cover is larger/deeper on Ninos Spark than on the store model bike. And the valve/battery config is different than regular shock.

 Dirt roadies REALLY care about weight. Lame bike check if that isn't included for this type of bike.
(Not implying that Nino is a dirt roadie because he rips the downhill too)

 I don't think Nino can carry two bottles inside his main triangle by just looking at the first picture...

 Check the close ups of the front triangle, there are at least 3 bosses on the downtube, so the cage can probably be mounted in different positions. The most forward once could leave room for a 2nd bottle on the seat tube.

 You can't fit a flight attendent rear shock in the regular frame, so I'm assuming the customisation is around this feature.
