Just looked at gates homepage, since they showed the bike on the fair and there was no open belt system availible.
Unless they're saying that plug doesn't need to be glued / rubber cemented. Because getting the area clean of old sealant and dry in preparation for a tire patch is the biggest pain in the ass of the procedure.

I switched to chain, cheaper more as cog ratio options but not cool
I do despise people like you that will selfishly undermine the agreements, permissions and access to non-motorized trails that mountain bikers spent DECADES earning.
huge battle in the US to to be able to ride a bike on decent trails.
Even my local "mtb trails" have full sections where bikes aren't allowed and you will be fined. Gotta love equestrians and all the work they do for trail maintenance.
