20 Years of Commitment

Feedback Sports was founded in 2004 by Doug and Lisa Hudson, from our home in Golden, Colorado. Our first product was the Alpine Digital Scale, a bike specific scale for precisely measuring bike weight, which still remains in the line. The famous red anodized repair stands were added to the line in 2008, and the tools and Omnium trainers were introduced in 2016.

Feedback is still family owned and operated from Golden, Colorado, in the same neighborhood as Yeti, Spot, and Commencal USA. This location is central to some of the best bike riding in the country, if not the world. Every one of the 12 Feedback employees rides and participates in the sport at many levels, with world class road, gravel, and mountain bike rides right outside the front door. And as a small, family owned company, we support many bike advocacy organizations, trail building, and youth cycling programs.

Feedback Sports Limited Edition 20th Anniversary Pro Mechanic repair stand

Professional mechanics around the world consistently choose Feedback repair stands and tools because of their light weight, compact size, and easy portability. Despite the heavy presence at the Pro Tour, World Cup, and Olympic levels, Feedback products are made for any bike and every rider. Mechanics and cyclists at all levels can benefit from the Feedback design ethos.

I can tell you my Yeti with the lovely pistachio 39 Fox fork sits pretty calm on Crivit stand from Lidl.
On the other hand, it´s placed in a basement, not in the fetish room.

Congrats on 20 years, it's no mean feat to keep a business thriving for that long and to survive a couple of recessions along the way

20 years is about how long I fought my crappy bike stand before I bought my Feedback stand. Huge difference.

I have a stand that is like 20 years old that looks like this but is red and called "Ultimate" - that the same brand back then? or a nock off of this? or is this a nock of that?

@dtax: Feedback spun off of Ultimate Support.

@velovirtue: thanks! this got me looking into more since I commented and piecing stuff together. None the less my stand is going strong.
  • 3 0
@velovirtue: Bought mine back in 01 still holding the bike up fine.
  • 2 0
@dtax: Performance used to sell the same stand under the "Spin Doctor" name.

I've had my red ultimate stand for 20 years, maybe more. Still going strong, although I'd love a couple of the improvements. Good stuff.

20 years is a very respectable milestone. TBH my Feedback stand is the best bike tool I own. God only knows how I managed without it.
  • 20 1
Best bike stand on the market no question. Not cheap but you won’t ever need to buy another one.

Thats what they said about the park tool stand my dad bought in the 90's im still using...but it doesnt have kashima...i dont know what to do!

Oddly my jenson stand for under a hundred bucks from more than 10 years ago still works flawlessly.

As a long time mechanic including being out at races in various conditions, i absolutely agree. There are many portable work stands but the feedback tripods are by far the best, most stable, and fold down the smallest. Nothing but good Feedback from me.

I bought the HD version of the of this stand a few months ago, it's fantastic. Yes, it is expensive, but with all the time I spend working on my bikes, it definitely falls into the "buy nice, or buy twice" equation for me. Didn't think I would enjoy the magnetic tool holder feature so much.

For me the worst method to clamp your bike.

Fantastic product, fantastic company and equally fantastic people. Limited editions usually come at a higher price point, no shame in that whatsoever.
  • 15 1
 Sit down,guys. It's $450.
  • 6 0
I'm seeing complete bikes with hydraulic brakes posted for $450 these days on marketplace.
  • 22 1
@JonDud: Will these bikes hold your bike while you work on it?
  • 6 0
I get it's expensive. And I'm not trying to help justify it.

But my original Ultimate stand was 15 years old when I decided to upgrade and I got close to my original purchase price for it.

I replaced with the Feedback Elite...paid about $225 CAD on sale...I've had it for 9 years or so...and when it comes time to sell, there's a good chance I won't lose much of my original purchase price due to inflation and the fact that these things are built well and don't become obsolete every 2-3 years.

So even at $450...if I could stomach it, it may still be one of the cheapest pieces of bike gear I'll own if I factor in actual depreciation over the useful life.

And really...$55 premium over the non-special edition for something with unique 1-run anodized colours, plus a badge...

30 years later, my Park Tools stand is still working. I think I paid $99 for it. I think it's paid itself off and then some.
  • 8 0
if you buy something you'd use for more than 10 years might as well buy the good one
  • 1 0
@Endurahbrah: Can you ride this work stand?
  • 4 0
My original Ultimate stand lasted me 15 years before I just wanted to upgrade to a red one. Sold it for almost as much as I originally bought it for. My current Feedback Elite stand continues to go strong after almost 10 years. It's one of those rare items that I use almost daily. And I have zero desire to continually upgrade. It just works. They're pricey, but worth it. None of the limited edition features will improve upon the product experience...but it would be certainly cool to own one. Cool to have something in my garage that none of my riding buddies have.

I've got one of the earlier models from MEC. It does the job but I hate the tightening adjustment knobs on the back side. Gotta be the worst design because it can't tighten worth of shit to lock in to hold the bike horizontally or at the angle you want. The know is so big and round that there is no grip to tighten properly even when the knob is ridged to provide grip. I tried using a belt wrench. That worked for a bit but still can't hold anything above 30lbs. I finally used a set of the biggest tongue and groove channel locks wrench I bought for big pipes. That did the trick as it provided enough clamp force and torque to tighten and hold the clamp bar without any rotation. There's lots of times when I thought I should just shell out the money and get a Park Tool stand but, JFC, they cost 10X as much and 3X more than my bomb proof truing stand! Now that I know that the channel locks work really well with my Feedback stand, I'll just keep using it. It'll last just as long as a Park Tool stand. I think I paid like $80 back 15+ years ago.

same here, borrowed friends one... nice stand and everything but that arm knob is just very awful. Got myself ParkTools basic home mechanic stand 5 years ago and I prefer it's design\controls much more

So, I have an Ultimate brand bike repair stand I bought in 1994, the Feedback sports rack is identical, so did they buy the design, did the patent run out, or did they somehow arrive at the same design a decade later?
  • 14 0
Ultimate made speaker stands and then got in to bikes when they partnered with Feedback. Later on Feedback bought out the sporting side of Ultimate. Ultimate still makes speaker stands.
  • 1 0
@FisherFreerider: Thanks, I was wondering this too as I have the Ultimate stand as well.
  • 1 0
I have the same vintage stand. I had to replace the pieces that grasp the seat post because the rubberized coating broke off. Did you ever have that problem?
  • 1 0
@llivingstone: not yet, 30 yrs on. Mine has been an excellent stand. It’s a little out of date since bikes with wider q-factors and flat pedals will contact the upright occasionally and the built in truing stand only works with qr axles but those are my only slights. Does the Feedback rack come with the nice little toolbox/work tray and the handlebar holder? Mine also came with a nice transit bag. Really for a 30 year old tool that’s been used thousands of times over the years, it’s impressive.

Not kashima coating? Seriously, how dare you??
  • 1 0
I know right, it seems that it worked for Kuat with their 2k rack

Mixed feelings about Feedback. I have an older Pro Elite that I really like except... The plastic jaws finally wore out. Tried to buy a new pair from the Feedback website. They won't sell to me because I'm in Canada. Have to go through the Canadian distributor. Well, go figure, but the Canadian distro does not carry replacement jaws, but will sell me an entire new head unit for far more than I paid for the entire stand. So ya...

I've had my Ultimate Pro workstand for about 20 years and it is still working perfectly. I'll buy another one right away if my current one ever breaks.

Looks pretty tits but my cheapo $50 Amazon stand has lasted 4 years so far with frequent use. Spray it with water, drop it, bop it. Twist it The thing won’t die

The legs should be about 6" longer for better stability. I've had issues with this stand falling over so I always have to clock the legs accordingly for stability.
  • 1 0
It would be cool if they built the Alpine Digital Scale into the bike stand. Make it cost $1000 but you could weigh your bike at every step of a build.

great products, and better customer service! mine has been rolling in the back on my truck camper for 5 years now! still perfect !!!

Are the lugs that hold the tripod legs plastic?
  • 3 0
 No, they're just coated.

 @lyfcycles:Cool, cheers

I got the Feedback 1 sided wheel trueing stand. I’ve built countless wheels on it. But tbh, I wish I had gotten a 2 sided stand like the Park. Since I own this one, I’ll never buy another one. But it’s a PITA to use for my needs. It’s fine as a maintenance item (which is what it’s designed for) not ideal for building wheels.

Love my Feedback stand. An iterative improvement over my prior Ultimate.
