 Flat or crash?

@Jvhowube: crash. "a little banged up, but in good spirits" according to the frameworks racing instagram.

Fastest first 2 splits. Hope he's OK.

@Jvhowube: crash after the bridge right before the finish straight. He pretty much only had the tables to go!

@Milesalley66: Check his Dad's insta (chasingasa76)- he's out 8-12 weeks with a fractured Elias crest sadly

that Asa guy is gonna be a big hitter soon.....watch out!

@jhilly: these fractures can be all over the board. Break both sides of the (unilateral) crest and it can be super painful for months and no riding. A young healthy guy with a single side fracture can be back on the bike in a few weeks, riding DH in 6 if not before. Wishing this pinner the best.

Why was Dane Jewett racing Cat1?
  • 10 2
 Because that’s his category
  • 2 0
The Americans for some reason have adapted some road racing categorization here. It's Cat 1 17-18 which seems to be what everyone else called Juniors or Junior Elites.

Danerbomb second fastest man on the hill too

There are a few errors here, in that it says DNS next to Asa's name when it should say DNF? Also his first two split times are on the full results yet he is not on the graph? Also it still says "*Dakotah Norton was leading through splits 1 and 2 before dropping over 16 seconds back in the sector to the finish line" but that was from the seeding graph not the final graph.

I don't have anything to do with the graphs or Pinkbike but I did fix the Zone4 results to say DNF, though I can't update the image on this article. Hope that makes you feel a little better.

The graphs are of the top 10 finishers. As Asa didn't finish, he wasn't on the graph even though he was leading through the first two splits.

@mcleodpulaski: Just trying to give a heads up to the PB admins about some confusion going on in their posted article. It is always ironic the things that we get downvoted or almost mocked for in comments that are purely meant for clarification and to make sure there is consistency across the post @edspratt

With PB comments especially, if you are just trying to be helpful, you have to state that plainly and/or explicitly because assumption will be that you're being snarky. PB never really proof read from what I can tell.

Asa was ripping! Get well soon

Asa he’ll be a problem in the World Cup scene. Guess Neko will have to make more bikes to sell

What's Evolve Racing? Have to assume that it's different than Evolve bikes, which recently went under and ghosted the world?

said he was going to try and get on the dh bike this week. all the trail work stuff he's been doing hasn't helped speed things up he said, with a chuckle. his doc was like, rest and ride, not rest and trail work!
