How Much Are World Cup Racers Paid in 2024? - Pinkbike's State of the Sport Survey 2024
USD 50k is more than half of Americans earn and more than 98.2% of people worldwide. To call that borderline poverty seems pretty out of touch.

Review: Formula Belva Dual-Crown Enduro Fork
Back in 2019 to 2021 when RockShox had the B1 air spring I was often accused of comparing everything (unfavourably) to the Lyrik and being a RockShox fanboy. I'm sure sooner or later someone will come out with something better than the 38 that I can benchmark against.

Review: Formula Belva Dual-Crown Enduro Fork
For sure it's a nice feature to have, but I'm not sure how often people will use this, and personally, I don't think it compensates for the steering lock downsides.

@bigtim: It's the same lower leg as the Selva single crown fork.

Review: Whyte Elyte 150 Works - 'One of the Best Handling E-Bikes'
Agreed. If Whyte made a long-travel version I'd be well up for testing it.

Review: Whyte Elyte 150 Works - 'One of the Best Handling E-Bikes'
AXS derailleurs powered by the main battery make sense in theory. Proponents say there's a reserve in the main battery for a few hundred shifts after the motor "dies". However, Whyte say they decided to have a separate battery for the derailleur because this reserve doesn't always work, leaving you suddenly without power or gears. And with a bike like this, you could genuinely keep riding for a long time without assistance so long as the gears work.

Review: The New 2024 Scott Ransom 900 RC Has All The Integration
@Fix-the-Spade: Technically, the old Ransom was $7,500 in 2018, which is equivalent to $9,332 today, so just under $700 more.
But, as I said in the review, I wouldn't buy either - but then I don't buy named-brand baked beans. I think this is the best all-round enduro bike I've tested, but whether it's worth the money is a very different question. There are a lot worse things to spend your money on IMHO.

Review: The New 2024 Scott Ransom 900 RC Has All The Integration
I'll check with Scott what comes in the box, but in my case, I used a Syncros stem that integrates with the cable-routing headset spacers, but you could also use regular spacers and a regular stem with an Acros top cap. Either way, it's not a huge deal, but it's not as simple as swapping to a 40 mm rise bar.

Review: The New 2024 Scott Ransom 900 RC Has All The Integration
@MillerReid: Yeah the shock isn't hard to remove - it's only the Tracloc cable that makes it more of a pain to disconnect than other bikes. But then you probably only need to do that once a year or so to service the shock, so it's not a big deal in that context. Especially as you may need to service the shock less frequently with it being internal.
Given most people seem to ride shocks until they start making horrible noises, then send them to a service centre to get "serviced" (i.e. mended), it may actually save you time.
