Downhill World Cup #1, 2010. Maribor, Slovenia. Day 1 of practice.
The Downhill World Cup season got underway officially today at 8:30 am local time here in Maribor, Slovenia. Riders took to a muddy course that quickly dried and turned to hero dirt by timed runs at 2:45. The roots, the rocks and the corners are all back, with a few extra twists.

Yeti Cycles Hires MTB Strength Training Systems for Team Training

Mountain biking has been slow to catch up with a lot of other sports when it comes to using strength training to enhance performance. Strength coach James Wilson has been working for several years to change that and his revolutionary training programs have helped produce the current US National Downhill Champion, Aaron Gwin. Thanks to his ability to consistently produce faster riders James has recently been hired to handle all of the training for the Yeti Cycles World Cup Team.

Yeti Cycles, who has perennially fielded one of the strongest teams on the World Cup mountain bike circuit, announced the 2010 Yeti / Fox Racing Shox Factory team roster today.
Returning will be six-year team veteran, Jared Graves, who dominated the 2009 World Cup circuit in four-cross, winning the World Cup Overall and World Championships. American downhill prodigy, Aaron Gwin, who finished top ten overall in World Cup standings in just his second year racing mountain bikes, will also be on board and will be focused on adding to his podium count next season. Young gun, Sam Blenkinsop, will race for another team for the 2010 season.

Yeti 303R-DH - Review
In the 303R-DH preview we gave you all of the information and facts about the 303R-DH, however we left you hanging when it came to information on how it rides. Looks and technology only come into play so much when you're looking into purchasing a bike, and most riders will find themselves asking other riders what they think of this bike or that bike. In order to skip you having to talk to your best friend's, sister's, boyfriend's dad who has an old Yeti, I am going to tell you exactly what my impressions of the Yeti 303R-DH were.

Yeti at the World Championships
For me it was so great to see Jared Graves finally win the World Championships for 4X as he's been the top contender and then little stupid things have happened, be it at WC Champs or the Olympics for BMX and he's out. This man deserved the win and thankfully Yeti captured the whole World Champs on video to share with all of us.

Yeti 303R DH - Linear Rail Technology!
Most people would use the reference "tribe" to describe a civilization hiding deep in the South African jungle, that only feed off of fire ants and boiled frogs. However, there is one company inside the cycling industry that refers to their customer basis as the Tribe. They come from all walks of life - racers, artists, hippies, adventure junkies, beer swillers, priests, lawyers, construction workers, shamans, cops, robbers, and buddhists. If you, or your friends own a Yeti, then you're part of the tribe.

We’re just a week away from the 7th Annual Yeti Tribe Gathering in Fruita, Colo. This year’s location treats all fat-tire fanatics to some of the most distinctive singletrack in Colorado. 303 First Ride Impressions, The extended version.
Lets set the scene first. 120 degree heat, zero shade and all you have to drink is near boiling hot Citrus Fruit Cytomax. Not a good picture right? Now how long would you put up with that just to ride a bicycle? Apparently not as long as me. I spent one and a half hours working on my sunstroke just to pedal a bicycle down a hill, does that sound desperate? Yes, but thats something I need to work on down the road.

Sugar Mountain, N.C. (June 10 and 11) - Absent bikes and crazy weather cranked up the drama, but the Yeti-FOX Racing Factory Team worked together and got the job done.
"It was quite the stressful weekend," said team manager Damion Smith. "We got in from the airport (after two months in Europe), and the bikes didn't show up." No downhill bikes, no slalom bikes: No bikes.

Yeti-FOX's Graves wins Willingen 4X
The Yeti-FOX Factory Race Team had its best weekend yet. Jared Graves had a near-flawless 4X, and Justin Leov is regaining his speed after hurting his shoulder in Vigo, Spain.
The 4X course was long with huge jumps -- German style. Jared Graves qualified 4th and reached the final with a trio of BMX powerhouses: Michal Prokop, Joost Wichman and Roger Rinderknecht. Since Graves qualified slowest of the four, he started from the far outside. Oh well, no matter. He snapped all those guys, pulled around the outside and led from there.
