First off, I am not an employee and have never, ever, at any time in my entire life received any monetary compensation from Fezzari, whoops, I mean ARI... (Hey Siri, will deleting my cookies hide my IP address?)

With that being said I think ARI is the best company that has ever existed on the planet (Sorry Natty Light!) It's amazing to see such a small start-up company from Utah grow into a multinational conglomerate and are now able to sponsor humongous names like Kyle Strait! I'm beyond...I mean Kyle must be beyond stoked to be riding for a company that offers cutting edge suspension technology, 23-point fit customization, and offering the absolute lowest cost to customers via their direct to consumer sales strategy. The fact that ARI can customize their bikes to fit super hot babes like Rachel Strait (I love you baby!) is also incredible.

Buy an ARI bike so you can ride like me, I mean Kyle Strait!

Kyle seems to Straight to ride for a Woke bike company, TBH.

"The name change from Fezzari to Ari (pronounced "Ahh-ree") is a reflection of our company's global vision and goal to "Create Exceptional Experiences" one rider at a time.

The Global Meaning of Ari
Dropping ‘Fezz’ from Fezzari and evolving into Ari seamlessly aligns into its core ethos of “Be in the Moment'' because the name Ari means ‘to exist or to be.” The name also carries positive meanings globally and is easy to pronounce in virtually any language. lol

You people think this voting game is in the control of the people; when it's actually the counters and the owners of the counters that tally the score who decide whom they will award the seat to. The vote is meaningless! Republican- Vivek Ramaswamy was forced out. Him being the sharpest most assertive and opposing to big government and it's shenanigans by the controlling dictating party of the radical left.

So I can virtually guarantee you we’re suffering way harder from “wokism” than whatever you’re dealing with. That said, please go take your sh*t somewhere else. No one is here to talk politics, and quoting your boy Trump on an MTB site is more likely to cause people to dig in their heels rather than change anyone’s mind.  Here's the deal... first off Kyle Strait (by any other name) is a badass. Plain and simple. He rides like he is a warrior headed to battle and is tough as a bag of bricks. Don't know his wife but she must be super cool to put up with a guy who throws himself off of cliffs for a living. So let's all be happy someone is paying him and his family to continue to ride like the badass he is. Who cares about the name or anything else. Wish him and the company he rides for luck.

Second, why the actual FFF did this divulge into politics? We come here to get away from all that crap to pretend things like headset cable routing are important enough to bitch about. Get real and give your balls a tug.

Kyle, Lyle, or who the F ever... keep killing it buddy.

As a former employee of Kyle and Rachel's former bike sponsor, I've gotta say that this comes as a huge relief. Many of us who were laid off are still looking for work in a very competitive job market. The bike industry isn't doing too hot, jobs are scarce, and budgets are tight. I'm glad that ARI is stepping up to the plate. Kyle is the real deal and he should get paid handsomely by this industry.

Side note: Kudos to the marketing team at Ari for the rebrand – the old name was a major stumbling block, and those of us who've worked behind the scenes understand that a rebrand is massive work. Don't listen to the rabble. Your bikes look great and sponsoring Kyle and Rachel is a good move. I think you nailed it with ARI. I wish you all the success.
  • 6 1
Just curious, why was the old name a stumbling block?
  • 73 1
 @joostd: because it was Fezzari
  • 42 1
@joostd: to me it conjured an off-brand copy of an Italian race car. It sounded cheap, like a generic Amazon/Alibaba brand name. It didn't make any sense for the brand – it gave them nothing to work with, no stories to tell – and it wasn't open-ended, as ARI is.
  • 6 1
@rufgo: a lot Alibaba brands have far better names than Fezzari. Brands like West Biking and Rock Bros don’t try to sound premium or Italian, they sound like Ali Express brands, which is fine because that’s what they are.
  • 14 1

I lived and worked in Armenia for 2 years, and Ari is one of the most common names there. To tap into the Armenian culture, I feel like Ari bikes needs to have a big, rowdy enduro bike named Gampr, which is the name of the the local breed of Armenian sheepherding dogs. They are like 150lb German shepherds. Hell, just get get hide the Ari name on that model and put Gampr on it. That would be rad af.

  • 1 0
@FoxRedLabs: seems an odd move, to me. All the employees still know what they always knew. Someone with deep pockets could restart it if they felt like it... it'd just be a different brand. They'd have to spend a chunk of time redesigning and setting up various things as a new company. But they could make very similar bikes and use the same factories etc, and nothing Ashley could do about it. Someone tell me I'm wrong...
  • 2 1
@Tambo: I doubt he'd care. We'll probably start seeing £300 bikes badged up as Nukeproof and Vitus in Sports Direct stores before long, that's more his style.

@Tambo: I don't know how the law works exactly and how much someone would have to alter the designs to get clear of Intellectual Property laws etc, I'm not a lawyer , guess we will have to wait and see, guess the molds and jigs for the frames still exist in a factory in Taiwan somewhere?
  • 1 0
@FoxRedLabs: with how similar many bikes are, and nobody (generally) calling out design infringement, I'd wager that you wouldn't have to change much. Still would require new tooling etc though, so not a cheap venture to restart.
