Pinkbike Racing is proud to welcome French Elite racer Leona Pierrini into the team for the next two rounds, including this weekend's race in Lenzerheide.

Leona, who will be racing in the place of the injured Jackson Connelly, is a passionate and talented rider from near Nice, France. Having previously won the junior overall in 2020, it's a pleasure to be able to help her with support while we have a space on the team. Leona will be riding a V10 MX build with all the drippings from the team's usual sponsors.

A huge thank you goes out to all our sponsors who have helped make this happen, most notably Bluegrass and Dharco who got Leona kitted out at the last minute. Also a massive thank you to all the staff and riders on the team for being so willing to accommodate the last-minute temporary change of the roster, particularly Jackson's mechanic Peter Duke.

After a successful qualifying, we look forward to seeing Leona race tomorrow. You can follow Leona on her Instagram page - @leona_pierrini - as well as keep up to date with all the latest from Lenzerheide via the UCI live timing's, Redbull TV and Pinkbike's newsfeed.

Great addition PB. Must say the PB racing team are knocking it out of the park this racing season. Good luck on race day Leona!

Why are the bikes not pink?

Pinkbike doesn't even have a pink logo... I don't think the colour is a priority.

Factory moto teams do this quite often and it gets privateers a chance to to make a big career jump. well done, Pinkbike!

great move from the team - though it is kinda sad that an overall winner from the juniors are so stript for support that she can so easily be included in a team two years on. I'd have a hard time seeing that happening in the mens' category. Pity.

Yeah, but if you look at the race times you can kind of understand why. The top junior men are much closer to the top elite men than the top junior women are to the top elite women.

What an awesome gesture. After watching the PB racing video yesterday we got to see how hard Ben and the rest of the team are working, so the idea of inviting someone into the team is so generous. Get fit soon Jackson!
