The Red Bull Urban DH series continues on the streets of Mexico in Guanajuato.

Juanfer Velez set a rapid pace through the tight alleyways and treacherous street corners as he crossed the line with the fastest time of the day. With the final riders setting blistering times on the course, Juanfer Velez found an extra bit of speed as he went 1.034 seconds up on a charging Sebastian Holguín. Tomas Slavik found redemption after a broken chain at the last round ending the day with 3rd place.

Check out the full results and a breakdown of the splits below.

First time watching an Urban DH on TV. I think it’s awesome that it’s almost all dudes from Central and South America

I agree it’s definitely a group that doesn’t get enough appreciation across the whole of the sport and it seems this is how they’ve come into their own

I raced alongside Juanfer, Camilo, and a whole host of other in Gto a couple of years ago during the first “urban enduro”. I was absolutely blow. Away by the talent on a bunch of these dudes who had gotten close to zero recognition until the modernization and spread of high-level urban DH. So damn cool for them and for our sport.

I’ll also report back that it doesn’t matter how quick you are on trail, chances are you’re slow on stairs and narrows between buildings. It’s such a unique skillset.

Watched the races last year too. Some really good riders just a shame that Rob said some will struggle to get visas and funding for round 3 in Italy .made more sense to have all 3 rounds in South America. Afterall Europe gets nearly all of the world cups.

I wonder if hearing Agurto's time at the top lit a fire under the last couple of guys, crazy how much the pace picked up after him
