On November 14, 2016, the moon traveled closer to the Earth than it has since 1948 — and we'll have to wait until 2034 until it gets this close again.
With only a few days' notice, Darren Berrecloth seized the opportunity for an epic attempt to ride one of Utah's most technically demanding trails — located on the edge of all four Red Bull Rampage event sites — in the dark.
"Such an unreal experience shredding [King Kong] in the full moon last night," said Berrecloth on his Instagram. "[It] brings a whole new meaning to blind takeoffs."
"Kong is the line that turned my life in a direction I'll never regret," continued Berrecloth — a harken back to 2002 when he first rode the trail alongside Rampage event organizers, who immediately granted him entry into the unique invite-only contest, which successfully catapulted his career transition from BMX to MTB.

Uh... yeah, Berrecloth can ride that in the dark. You can go back to being lame. Thanks.
but what was the headlamp he was using?
What kind is it!!! I don't think it's any of the suggested above!!!!
Any help!!???
Uhhh..... you understand this wasn't an XC trail, right? I heard about this video and its better than expected. Those features are wild enough during the day and I love the shots on Flying Monkey.
