There are few downhill mountain bikers that are so multifaceted as Neko Mulally. Not only is he racing World Cups, but he also runs a race series, supports grassroots riding and racin, has his own brand and team, develops his own bike, AND somehow finds time to represent the riders' union and scout the next big thing in US downhill. In this far-ranging chat, we try to cover as much as possible knowing full well that might just be a thankless task.

During the next month, we'll be going to podcasts every Monday and Thursday, and we hope you enjoy this cadence.

Featuring a rotating cast of the editorial team and other guests, the Pinkbike podcast is a weekly update on all the latest stories from around the world of mountain biking, as well as some frank discussion about tech, racing, and everything in between.

This dude is so rad. Dunno how he's got time to sleep or bust a deuce w/ the bike parks, racing, team dynamics, designing bikes and so on - kinda a local hero around western NC / Pisgah and while we're not buds Ive spoken w/ him at Kanuga / Rock Creek and yr just not gonna meet a nicer guy: humble, down to earth and just all about a great ride scene.

There are more people behind the scenes of course but he's hugley helped a massive local scene explode thats all about a great bike community from gravity to xc - and whats better than that. I have yet to goto Kanuga or Rock Creek and not know people oe have met new locals & visiting riders - its just a total blast. Thanks a million Neko

Hey Neko, if you need a mediocre, kind of older, first time collegiate DH racer to help test your bikes, hit me up! I am ready and willing.
