Due to the Covid-19 pandemic at hand ride your bike responsibly. Avoid taking unnecessary risk that could put you in hospital and take a bed away from some in need/affected. This video illustrate what you should avoid doing until life goes back to normal. Go ride and practice good social distancing on trail.
@stoo61: yes. I was there for OuterBike years ago and was talked out of attempting to ride it, with the line: “this is 20 mins into a 5 day trip...what if you eat shit and break your wrist...is it worth it?” I dismounted and walk with the rest of the group...
@ReformedRoadie: Yeah sh*t I was much the same. Was road tripping through the US and BC, an injury there and I would have been f**ked and stranded. Very difficult section from my memory.
Moab is basically sheltering in place. Restaurants are closed as are most tourism-related businesses. It could be a dramatically different place next year. I think they’ll bounce back and we can shuttle up to the La Sal mountains again.
I'll never understand why people who have such an obvious lack of riding skill decide it would be sweet to send themselves on a 20 foot gap, or a four foot drop.
Tells her ok stop! right after she scorpions through several boulders like a bowling ball. This is the guy that says dude I just farted after you’re already furiously reacting to his fart.
It really annoys me seeing people ride stuff they're clearly not prepared for, skills wise. You're not the one that has to carry your ass off the mountain! Take a skills course or two and progress at a reasonable pace people!
Every time I see someone get bucked forward over a jump and go down hard over the bars it makes my stomach turn so much. You learn some hard lessons going down like that. Horrible way to land.
While I will agree, it’s a horrible way to land, you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette.. the getting bucked part of it really tickles me, whether it’s the slowmo style or more violent seat bounce. I do prefer the latter as they usually invokes better mid-air flailing
I just love it when the filming buddy yells “Yeahhh” while the rider just got smashed. It makes me laugh every time. I need more buddies like that, that have your back even when you just got dry gulched.
The kid on the silver hardtail is becoming a staple in these, I think this is his 3rd or 4th appearance already... Appears he is having a rough learning curve!
at 1:18, guy stop his front wheel was ok on first jump but not second... He clearly has a 10k$ bike but not the skill... Guys please, before changing bike make sure to top off it capacitys. That way your bike skills will grow along your bike capability. Best thing you can do to stay a average rider, is to get the big bike without the skill and speed capacity needed that goes along that bike..
Hah. Okay. That kid is 12 years old and not on a 10k bike. He's got plenty of skill to pull off that whip, he just didn't that time. If you want to see non-fail riding from him, check out his insta @flogan_mtb
@ceecee: Good eye Point was not that much if it's a 6K or 10K bike, just a lack of skill, judgment and experience for a rider that have this kind of bike.
Biker crashes
*breathing intensifies*
