I don't think the camera is doing the height of that drop justice. My guess is that he came off the lip unable to see over the edge, then had that second or two of air time to realize he'd taken it too far to the right, and was now sailing straight for those trees. By the time his tires touched the ground, he was going so fast that all he could do is lock the brakes and brace for impact. Either that, or he was on the right course, but hung in the air a lot longer than he anticipated.
WTF happened to the guy at 2:27??? There's a fail there that we have been deprived of and I don't know if I can continue on with my day without seeing the rest of that massive loop out.

@tvan5: Haha yeah that one where he appeared through the bush was great, then his mate binned it just to put the icing on the cake. I was giggling all the way to the end of the video after that 2-for-1.
I know, I wish my buddy hadn't quite filming so soon, but after the loop out he flew down the trail about another 30 feet and some how landed on his feet! It was hilarious!
@tvan5: I didn't have enough speed for the second double in that line so I bailed into the bushes. I was my first time hitting a double. Such a funny moment!

The only places ERs are clogged up there isn't too much in the way of mountain biking. In 90% of the other hospitals in the USA they are actually furloughing staff because nobody is going to the hospital.
