That opening really tainted my view of jumping.
  • 78 0
I don't always jump, but when I do I go nuts.
  • 5 0
Watching that left me feeling halfway between two distinct points
  • 35 0
One for him to tell the grandkids about. Although that seems less likely now, you know.
  • 5 0
I think he really opened up the gap between his legs...
  • 17 0
@novajustin: As an old geezer, I don't have the balls for jumping much anymore. And neither does he!
  • 10 0
On the upside, his inside leg measurement is now an inch longer.
  • 1 0
I bet my buttom dollar he's gonna be scared to get revenge on that gap
  • 9 0
PB should stop to put the most brutal crashes always on the opening. Warm up is crucial!
  • 2 0
Sitting on your balls really sucks
  • 3 0
@4thflowkage: Harsh digger. Hope the water bottle was OK.
  • 2 0
 Look ma! No nuts!
  • 2 0
@fraserw: He'll be singing soprano in the choir for the rest of his life...poor little bugger!!
  • 91 2
The percentage of these that were new acting riders in way over their head is concerning. Backflip over 40' sender dude had me less worried then "how slow can I go and not commit to this feature" guys.
  • 21 0
I was going to say the same thing. The amount of people with basic level skills hitting intermediate/advanced features is absurd.
  • 32 0
Coming from bmx to mtb this was one of the most shocking things to see...all these 40 year dudes who look like they bought their first bike a week ago hucking themselves off 6 ft drops and shit.
  • 8 0
@jeremy3220: Yah mtbs can bail you out of a lot but there are people out there that apparently think they do all the work for you or something. I don’t want to bash and I’m no pro myself. I don’t however like seeing people get hurt simply by making choices on moves they aren’t ready for.
  • 59 0
@cougar797: I think part of it is due to how stable mtb's feel. The first time you get on a bmx bike you know right away it wants to kill you.
  • 12 0
@cougar797: Yep, it's the, "l landed that 2 foot drop just fine, lets go for the 4 foot" type attitude. When in reality they didn't land the 2 foot drop well at all, they just narrowly avoided crashing on it but don't know that. In my first few years of mountain biking, almost 20 years ago now, I had a lot of crashes due to overconfidence. I'd rail turn, think I was hot shit because I rail it, then go too fast into the next turn and crash. I mean without crashing, one can't progress quickly, but definitely some of these people are trying features too far above their skill level.
  • 5 1
@jeremy3220: Yah those little dudes are fun but man they will humble you too.
  • 9 0
But they have the right bike and kit...

What can go wrong?
  • 18 0
 No footer to ball smash.
  • 4 0
Pretty much sums up the majority of FF vids.
  • 1 0
@cougar797: For these Vidiots screen time does not mean skill mastery or judgement.
  • 10 0
@sylwhistler: Just let your ibis do the job
  • 2 0
 @sledshed: such a good clip!
  • 1 0

2:33 - SEND IT! Followed by 3" of air and a crash. LMAO.
  • 136 0
Never in the history of human sending has so much been requested and so little delivered.
  • 1 0
 Haha yea seeeend iiiit
  • 14 0
 RESCIND IT!!
  • 7 0
What really made it was the "HOLY SHIT!" after the guy went two feet and had a mild crash.
  • 2 0
And no one said, "Are you OK???"
  • 1 0
@andyooo: I was thoroughly unprepared for this. Lol
  • 29 0
Holy crap. This week had it all. The first one was possibly the most gleefully funny fail EVER, back flips to the stratosphere, back flips to no where, accidental supermans, falling off a cliff in a humorous way, failed ramps, a slow-mo showing... I still can't figure out what happened. IT... HAD... IT... ALL!!!
  • 4 0
"...back flips to no where, accidental supermans..."

-- me spitting coffee
  • 2 0
 Agreed, one of the best
  • 13 0
In fairness, accidental superman guy held onto those bars like a champ
  • 9 0
@Lemmingie: grip strength outweighing decision making.
  • 1 0
 ...Dan Cortese.
  • 1 0
 Yup
This one was the real deal!
I just stopped crying/laughing at the video, to start all over again after reading your comment!
lol!
  • 3 0
I think in the slow-mo one, the left pedal dug into a protruding rock, causing the bike to get left behind while the rider's body continued forward.
  • 20 0
I've been shielding, furloughed and in lockdown since last March, some weeks Friday Fails is the only way I know for sure what day it is.
  • 1 0
That's brutal! I don't know how you stay sane without riding your bike. Hope things improve for you soon.
  • 3 0
@Skooks: cheers mate, still able to get out for a loop early mornings, it’s the one thing that’s keeping me sane.
  • 19 0
2:34 I really expected more hangtime from a clip that opened with "Send it!!!"
  • 1 0
Maybe it was opposite day? Cause that was the opposite of Send it lol!
  • 5 0
 @Bushmaster123: Stick-to-the-ground it?
  • 8 0
What is the neurological condition that allows your body to begin a trick and then freeze you in the middle of it?
  • 70 0
 Mortis Sailouritis
  • 3 0
 @pbuser2299: i'll be using that
  • 6 0
Aww, KURWA, those are some pretty hard hits. Although the best one is the wobbly north shore.
  • 1 0
1.35 backflip fail is high on the list.
  • 10 0
 @commental: mom i’m on tv

( it hurt)

Seems like alot of the recent Fails are of "newish" riders. I wonder if there will be alot of "slightly" used bikes on Craigslist/Pinkbike in the near future?

"Used 2020 Trek EX9 only ridden 5 times...dont have time to ride..."

...doesnt mention it has been in 3 MAJOR crashes
  • 4 0
Most will be 'shit' bikes MSRP under $1000. The gems will be in 3 yrs when they clean out the garage or need space and will unload that $6000 bike after only 5 rides 3 crashes. But they'll want $5500 for it.
  • 6 0
 2:40 - a really well-built drop
  • 3 0
 Prob used kurwawood?
  • 5 0
0.40 If you're going to bail in mid air, you probably want to do more than just let go of the bars.
  • 5 1
Second last clip.. An example of not setting your shock rebound and having it propel you over the bars. Set your rear shock rebound people. don't be like him
  • 2 0
That guy crashed because he landed his tail whip while still whipped
  • 7 0
I think you missed the pedal strike @3:44
I had to re-watch that one a couple of times to see what exactly went wrong aside from all his body weight sinking forward into the bike. Body falling into the bike= front pedal rotates down and meets trail side/rock... results: OTB.
  • 4 0
Always amazed at how hard the camera people fail on some of these. How is it even possible to lose a person out of the screen when something this awesome is happening.
  • 7 4
Ah just your typical Friday Fails post. Right? Or a hilarious people getting hurt post. But… it’s a RideWrap ad.
  • 6 0
 SEND IIIIIITTTT 2.35
  • 3 1
I feel good about the future, with all these new people riding MTB these days I have to believe the average person will be just a bit more tough going forward Stop complaining, ride your bike.
  • 11 8
welp, at least we know that as Covid cases mysteriously drop in the US, hospitals will have their hands full with new riders.
  • 2 0
What was the rider at 2:04 thinking? "Lets just ride into this rock drop/gap as slow as possible and see what happens". It blows me away how many people seem to try stuff like this with no plan and no skills.
  • 2 0
That guy at 0:58 does have a knee cap left...

So many tree hits this week.

The guys sliding off the wood bridge looked like they were in some hurt.
  • 2 0
 Should say "does not"..
  • 4 0
First clip reminded me of Bender.
  • 4 0
opening scene, dick pound redefined! ouch!
  • 3 0
Soon as I saw the opening video I thought to myself... this shit is gonna be good. Seeeennnnnddddd iiiitttt!
  • 2 0
@0:12 The sympathetic groaning from the camera guy got me... I usually don’t crack up at the nasty looking crashes but I couldn’t help myself on this one.
  • 2 0
Oh wow. This weeks send-o-ram-a had me both laughing a good bit and likewise worried that the pandemic has delivered us a new breed of Jerry.

hats of to filmers, who despite are watching their friends get smoked, don't get distracted and make sure to film the entirety of their friends getting smoked.

Friday Fails always remind me of how much I love wearing my helmet.
  • 1 0
I missed some good ones... slippery ramps, huck to tree, spectacular barrel roll abandon's, your friends wheel to the face. Better than usual Pinkbike. Better than usual.
  • 2 0
bikes can keep getting longer, slacker, and lower, but these fine humans will always find a way to go OTB.
  • 2 0
If you're gonna submit a clip, make sure it doesn't belong in r/killthecameraman first

Felt bad for that kid at 00:46 looked like he was out cold
  • 1 0
For real!! I was just about to say that...he was proper fucked.
  • 1 0
@mybaben: A friend of mine spent 6 weeks in the hospital and then time in a TBI ward for a crash about that bad. They thought he had early-onset dementia, but it was after-effects of the out cold as a mackerel concussion. He was 40 yrs old at the time.
  • 1 0
@tipsword: Man, that's super scary. Severe concussions can cause such damage. Frown Hope he's all good now.
  • 2 0
@mybaben: It's been several years and he's not the same person. He has issues with short term memory and is sometimes "a little out there"
  • 1 0
@tipsword: I'm sorry to hear that mate.
  • 1 0
