So cringy! Leaning back is only helpful in super steep terrain. It's the worst advice in so many situations....for the record that person was screwed no matter what advice was given lol.
@CircusMaximus: I think he meant lean back as in position yourself a little backwards while still weighting the front wheel, but not in a manner to go OTB.
I just see SO many people leaning as far back as they possibly can to hit drops, or to go down "steep" sections... But I guess someone needs to fuel our Fridays right?
@Caiokv: Its definitely counter intuitive for many who are learning to ride steeps, drops, etc. Agreed though, one's position changes. But, like you, I've watched so many riders lean way back and then eat it because they've lost their front end and braking traction.
Most of these riders ride way above their skill level; they should make it in the new video series “FRIDAY FOOLS”. The rest can stay in our beloved “FRIDAY FAILS”.
It seems like a reflex reaction to ask the crashers, "Are ya all right" before they even come to a stop or get a chance to clear the tweety birds circling their heads.
Hahaha. Says he, while checking his phone and not even looking at the poor bastard who just crashed... As in exactly zero fucks given. That one was classic.
That was my first reaction, but when I watched again I noticed there's a reason: The rider with the camera was the 4th rider in a train. The first rider had crashed in that spot, and riders 2 and 3 stopped in time, but camera guy apparently wasn't looking ahead like everybody else was.

oh, are you good, James
James: umph
Some of those fails were brutal, solid, dead stop bone breakers !!
carnage like never before my numerous injuries and broken bones hurt watching this rag doll event.
Should be in 32nds or 64ths. So,
1 for commitment. 1/2 for pop, 43/64 for speed.
(I have PTSD from watching all the jump carnage on Friday Fails)
