I hate when people blast music, but a speaker putting out tunes is super helpful if you ride in an area with lots of blind corners and two way traffic.
@Notmeatall: I'm definitely an advocate for not being a total douche with the speaker. Like don't blare super polarizing music for the sake of letting people how 'thug' or 'metal' you are, but if you're playing lofi or something and it gives me a heads up so I don't get in a head on, I'm happy!
@fabwizard: hahaha, good call. The cougars really like the sound of my voice. Especially Gina, the middle aged GLC regular. She is the queen of the cougars.
Ya, I always laugh when a roadie tells me they don't mountain bike because it's too dangerous. I manage the risks where I ride. They don't.
I also don't show them Friday Fails, lol.
Maybe we should introduce "graduated braking" for mtn bikes, like driver's licences? Once you demostrate that you are not going to grab a handful of brake whenever you get scared you get a front one.
every week I mean to ask this: people that follow close; why do you do this? Especially on jumps. Is it the thrill of knowing that when the inevitable happens, you're going to be involved in the crash too?
2:40 when the kid says "My dad says we need to do one more", that was the signal to the universe that someone must now crash... Someone please slap that kids dad...never say "One more"
It's doable and definitely not for the feint of heart. The guy could've finished had he not stepped off on the right side. That's why the tree was there on that crest!
It's the famous roller coaster skinny on Imonator on Mt. Fromme on the North Shore. Dave Herr (ddangerous ddave on Youtube) won the 2019 GoPro Best Line contest with an absolutely savage run of this line.
Yeah, I can't imagine feeling any sense of accomplishment from that circus side show worthy "feature". I think it was built as a joke, and for funny videos of gullible people falling off. In this way it fulfilled its design purpose.
@chize: just for you, next time I'll blast "all by myself" on my speaker so you don't feel so lonely. Lmao!
However, when i ride alone at nite i find myself still talking to the bears and cougars on my night rides on Fromme.

And the young lady at 3:07 ... what was that–slipping off pedals?
Going to be called "You down with O.T.B."
2:26
Well, you can’t say he was going too slow…
Anyone remember that joke?
Texas riding must not be giving you much to work with down there.
