@pinkknip: I think the videographers who are out to record fails footage need to keep their camera steady until the failure is complete and the moviestar has come to a dead stop. Too often they point the camera at the dirt to give the viewer an impression of what the moviestar is looking at at the moment. But I feel it doesn't quite work out and I personally prefer the third person view.
It seems that you have to try to get your front to drop that fast. I watcth that and think with any common sense you'll keep a little speed and ride right off it balanced and then nose in to the landing. Try a curb or something else first.
@ak-77: they tend to follow head movement of the guy wearing the helmet, and as general courtesy rule, your head should turn towards the guy who is falling to his death down the mountain
I'd like to see a special Friday Fails composed entirely of the YouTube experts. Bobo, Seth, Mo and Hanna, Heather Munive, Trail Boss, Steady Spin... This would be awesome because they record in higher quality.
I love watching Heather Munive biking vids. She's not the best rider out there, but her sheer joy while riding makes me want to go out and ride my bike.
Some of these guy's friends should have told them to pull up when going off a jump. Looks like there could have been a number of spinal injuries in this week's videos clips. Some nasty ones.
Been there, done that... bike was dangling from my foot, they said just let the bike go & climb up. Took 6 riders to make the human chain to save me (didn't want to let the bike go, so it was more of a huge bike save). Good thing I was near the front of the pack so as more showed up the easier it got. The Klein wasn't eventually harmed!!! whew!
@acdownhill: I wish i knew. I just ran across it and rebuilt it. Had no reference to see how much speed to carry so had to just guinea pig it. Sometimes thats just how she goes
Morgan Freeman as narrator: “sadly for him, he didn’t have it”
A new form of encouragement to those destined to fail.
1. Bad things happening to good people
2. People getting what the deserve
You get to categorize them.
Encourage new riders to practice smaller drops first, to build confidence. See example at :36
