I have been doing a lot of research and I think the main problem here is speed.According to the pros if you get enough speed then you will go through the tree rather than getting hung up on it.
rider shaped hole through the tree?... seems logical, lol. reminds me of an old MythBusters episode where they got a ping-pong ball to super sonic speeds and blasted a perfect hole through the paddle
Ya but just in case you don't get your speed perfect aim for the trees surrounded by foam lots of foam, it will still hurt like hell but what tree doesn't hurt when you tag it.
Whenever I watch the beginning of a FF clip through tight trees, I start looking at each tree wondering if that will be the one that jumps out and crushes the rider. I don't often predict it accurately, but I don't have to wait long for the correct answer either. Maybe we need a Mike and Mike commentary overdub? Didn't GMBN do that for a while?
@pioterski: a Moro is when an infant startles, shoots their arms out and then tucks/cries. He looked bigger than a 2 month old. That just looked like a tonic posture after he got knocked cold and if the video went longer may have been the start of a seizure
@mightydwight: But isn't a reversion to infantile reflexes a sign of neurological damage e.g. palmar reflex? I've been around plenty of bad crashes so I'm very interested in whether I sit and wait or call the ambulance ASAP.
Covid Joey (that now has all the kit and looks like a real rider) : "That's a line! People have done it. I'm gonna send it".
It seems that the pandemic has produced a bumper crop of fails. Lines that more "seasoned" riders have worked up to for perhaps years are just getting sent willy nilly.
Poor bastiche @ 3:26 was cruising along just fine ... and then shoulder tackling that tree. Ouch ... I hope to never encounter a tree while on my bike unless it's a baby cedar.
Man almost every time I watch FFs I tell myself I shouldn’t watch this kinda stuff its gotta be bad juju or something watching people crash It just has that humbling affect on ya sometimes The guy on the yellow bike looked like he took a hard hit to the ole clamshell BF getting run over brutal stuff
That was a good compilation. I'm noticing quite a few of the crashes are when riders loose a foot off a pedal. Don't get me wrong, I've had my share of crashes, but I do prefer being attached to my bike a bit more on my clipless pedals.
Not related to FF but has anyone else experienced a change in the PB mobile version in the last day or so seems to open in one format and then quickly change to another w/no comment section at the end? Its only on certain articles. FF seems the same but other review/articles not so much
I like how every FF seems to have a theme...this one being "Air and soul completely leaving the body." Last week was "Dirt salad/ trip to the dentist office"
All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth edition. Why do I need a full face helmet.....watches this weeks FF...still doesn't buy full face helmet. Dentist and Ibis dealers across the globe rejoice.
Opener resulted in a dislocated ankle that had to be surgically reduced. Also a major fracture to the surface of the talus that’s since caused so much osteoarthritis in the sub taluor joint that the foot will need to be fused.
Badly broken shoulder and collar bone. All good now though!
