@leviatanouroboro: Yea those dudes are just a wrecking balls waiting to happen! If you don't feel confident don't hit the line...let me put it this way....if everyone around you has their camera out and you're like wow this is the most attention I've gotten my whole life...stop what you're doing...get off the bike and convince your friend to do It instead....unless of course you're a stunner and know how to hit a drop or jump....then it's all game and safe landing!
Have to agree with you, anyone who knows how sharp&hard dead spruce branches are would react this way. This year I was riding in local bikepark and a kid crashed out of the trail onto dead spruce branch and one end went straight through his leg...
I counted 10 for too slow, 6 for too fast, 3 “if I’m going to do big jumps I should consider how to do big landings,” and the rest just bad luck or lack of skill.
Like most of the riders in this video, I'm a shit rider. The thing is that I understood a long time ago that it's not worth filming what I do, so I'm wondering if these guys think their videos would look cool if things went according to plan.
They look awesome when things go wrong anyway! Thanks for filming Joey!
Its not every day you see a home subdivision segment. We need more of these. Kids with no mountains try some wacky lines in these huge construction sites. Way too many folks out there have too much bike for the terrain they actually ride.
Saw a lot of riders caught out there this year. The lip used to finish a good metre later so you didn't need as much speed to clear it so all it takes is one rider to be only just making it last time and now they'll come up short like in the video. The Switch mechanic down the bottom of the hill was selling a lot of wheels and rims due to that one gap!! Think it was modified in '17 as I wasn't there last year and it didn't look fresh, definitely wasn't held up by the wood in '16 otherwise I would have smashed my face in when I forgot to turn left for the chicken run and skidded over the top and slid down the bank onto the road. Someone has that on their phone somewhere.
2.30 (to 2.40) That’s Ae Forrest, drop is called the elevator and it’s scary as sh1t! I sent it once and almost snapped my bike in two landing in the compression at the bottom. It’s the last part of a hideous DH track that has 3 or 4 massive features including the “coffin jump” and a 30ft step down....
Why do I love watching people fail so much? Is there something wrong with me?
Everyone look up passion production YouTube. He does the most rare MTB fail vids ive never seen anywhere else. Dude is killing the fail vids compilation game.
The first is more sad! Breaking your body on a nothing sections demoralizes you has a human! hahahhahahh
At least with a huck people are like, Dammmmmm you tried that, you are lucky to be walking!
I dislocated my shoulder the first time coming down a rad DH section of trail in January.
I hit asphalt under the shade that was icy and crashed! ahahhahhahhahahhahahhah
On a flat section that was concrete! ahahhahha
I once tacoed a front wheel on a little 1-ft drop. After I landed, my bike was still tumbling through the air and some part of it hit me in the face, leaving me with a blowout fracture of my orbit (eye socket). After I recovered from that surgery and got back on the bike I was afraid of EVERYTHING. Took months of working with a pro coach one on one to get my confidence back.
At least when you wreck yourself on something big you can just avoid that big thing the next time around and enjoy the rest of your ride.
I dislocated my first collarbone on a 3ft double. Second on a “family” trail in the bike park. But when it comes to hucks, I remember coming to a big one, like vertical 15ft. I was pumped to do it. There was a guy there on that day who nobody liked, he irritated me greatly with his unfounded elitism, ironic since he was a bit of a hippie. And he said it: it’s not a matter of skill, it is a matter of intelligence... I thought that when such an a*shole seems to be right... it has to be right
Tech-“Sir how would you like your suspension set up?”
Rider- “is Jackie Chan style an option?”
