Sometimes I see the Friday Fails, and I wonder, really, WTF are they thinking. I mean, this isn't that hard. It's not rocket science. Maybe PinkBike could do a tutorial? It wouldn't have to be long:

Turn the telephone horizontal

Yeah, this was more of a Cinematographic Fails edition.

 @tuskenraider: Best linked comment ever!
  • 3 0
@that was life changing.. never will I ever do a heinous thing like that again as long as I live.
  • 6 7
Instagram stories. How hard is that to grasp... and quite frankly I don’t know how could you give a damn. These are fail videos, not Planet Earth narrated by Sir Attenborough
  • 1 0
That's the point right? e.g to make me understand I'm not alone with my shredding teckers
  • 40 0
that ladder bridge at the end needed a WD40 sponsorship
  • 23 1
Hahaha! YES! That is actually my clip. First two tries it was fine, on the third (of course as soon as the camera comes out) the teeter part got stuck under the little ramp the eased the transition from ground to teeter. Ugh. Came away in one piece though!

That featured has since been removed. :-)

It had sponsorship ads that covered up the fall so I couldn't even see him land.

@bizutch: In all its uncovered glory! Enjoy.

@Blip01: I could see your mind racing fast.
  • 3 0
@JohanG: oh hell yeah! It went something like, "Hey this thing went down right the first couple times I rode it, why isn't it dropping, should I jump, I'll put my foot down, oh no room to put a foot down, oh now it's dropping, great here comes the ground...did anyone see that?"

The rebound dial is usually the red one...Just saying

And turn it all the way to the "-" side, add some extra PSI for good measure.

All the people "Are you ok??"
Italians:"Puttana...nelle palle la sella"... Big Grin (literaly: bitch! the saddle on the balls!")

 1. Ass over teakettle (AOT) is a real thing. Pinkbike, please make a video addressing this issue showing the do's and don'ts.
2. VVS (Vertical Video Syndrome) is a real thing. Maybe we should teach this in school.
  • 1 0
Teakettle? Please explain. It's arse over tit in these parts i.e. upside down. How do kettles fit in here?
  • 1 0
@el-nombre:It is a familiar idiom in Canada. Checked and it seems there is no clear origin story, though the expression (and many similar variations) go back to the early 20th century.
  • 1 0
@el-nombre: censorship? maybe tit was a little to naughty back in the day for these polite folk
  • 7 0
Saw a Spider Mountain clip in there!

Speaking AS an ENGINEER.... I find these humorous
  • 46 2

  • 4 1
 Cool bro
  • 5 3
 @arrowheadrush: Nah, that's single-speed riders...
  • 1 0
 @MtbSince84: haha true
  • 6 0
@arrowheadrush: Golly, just imagine a single speeding engineer whose been to Whistler.
  • 1 0
Apart from maybe the seesaw one, what has engineering got to do with any of these?
  • 3 0
 ya all got trolled
  • 1 0
 @mackzn: trolled got all ya

3:15 related question: How do you remove a seatpost that has been rectally inserted and stuck? Do you...
1) Heat the seat tube up with a blowtorch because the metal will at a faster rate.
2) Use lots of lube.
3) Saw it off and pry it loose.
4) Go to the LBS.
  • 4 0
3b) Saw it off and adapt your life to live with it. Kind of like getting shot with an arrow in one of those Robin Hood movies

This weeks friday fails theme: Upper body strength...dont underestimate its importance! Lot of wet noodle landings in this one!
  • 3 1
what do you mean? I thought they froze while too heavy on the front wheel on the takeoff.
  • 5 2
i notice that a lot. or people who don't pop the front enough and the bike over rotates from the back too. but yeah, a lot of these guys are just losing control of the front due to lack of strength IMO. normal though, not everyone who rides and jumps is 'training' in the gym or doing push ups in their free time. i'm coming back from injury and the first tech trail i went down reminded me of how hard this sport is on core strength and chest/shoulder strength.
  • 1 0
Came here to say this as well. Folks need to do some push-ups. Collapsing on the landing like a lot of these guys are is totally preventable. Source: didn’t used to lift weights for biking, learned that wasn’t a good idea for bigger features.
  • 1 0
@norcal101: yup....leads from jump to bar hump or OTB scorpions...insta fame!
  • 1 0
We need to talk to manufacturers... Spank, Chris King, etc. People are finding their stems/headsets WAY too attractive.
  • 1 0
hmm....how do you get into Friday Fails...I recorded the most amazing fail of all time this week and posted it on my pink bike account but not sure how to get it on Friday Fails...
  • 4 0
The sketchy pallet jumps at 2:25 are very artistic
  • 4 0
Poor weight distribution. Most are to far forward over their bars.
  • 1 0
i always hate it if you crash hard and approximately 0.5 seconds later the following guy asks you "oooh man, are you ok?!?!" ....i don´t know man, just give me some fu***ing time to breathe.... Big Grin
  • 3 0
 Sometimes,........
Friends should just tell friends "NO"
  • 2 0
FF should be 10 minutes minimum. My entire office stands around watching....soooooo, ooooooHHH, holy F#&k.
  • 1 0
0:46: Hey that looks like jagged axe stage at BME Santa Fe! Happy to report I did not eat shit there but rather further up the trail on the rock drop
  • 1 0
Was that guy thinking about front flipping it like TVS? Or did he notice a penny on the landing? Lol so far forward.
  • 1 0
@mtbikeaddict: Honestly that stage-ending drop/roller is steeper than it looks so you have to pull the breaks pretty good unless your going to huck the shit out of it. The dude was moving and didn't seem like he was expecting it.
  • 2 0
all these ninnys falling over the front of the bikes must still have to short of reaches (sarcasm)
  • 3 0
What's with the Game of Thrones footage at 1:23?
  • 1 0
I waited all day to watch this only to be severely underwhelmed. Crash harder people!
  • 1 0
I'm too old for this sh!t. (Like, actually attempting a lot of this stuff myself, the video, I'll still watch for sure.)
  • 2 0
It seems most people run their fork too soft
  • 1 0
with every friday and more fails - we're getting down to the bottom of the barrel now. Not as impacting as they once were.
  • 1 1
WHY do so many people think that when landing a jump their bike is now a unicycle, so all body weight should be over the front wheel?!
  • 1 0
So good. Demonstrates the importance of strength and coordination in mountain biking.????
  • 1 0
Was 1:20 part of the Battle of Winterfell? Can't see anything. Haha
  • 1 0
the intro exposion sound is so annoying, pls turn it down

Speaking as a lawyer, there were some bad cases right there.
  • 1 0
Where does one post their fails/crash links for a feature?
  • 1 1
1:49 - why not to ride clipless pedals! Razz
  • 1 0
There's no shortage of guys in flats that don't know how to jump either! There was a video years ago of an Ibis rider hitting that same sequence on a CX bike.
