 Dad: “PETEY, SLOW DOWN!”

Petey: “hold my orange squash....”
  • 16 0
 He sent it. Props.

Watching that kid throw 1 or 2 more pedal strokes down as everyone is screaming slow down... Legend
  • 10 0
 Poor Petey....
  • 4 2
Ha never listen to your father
  • 22 2
Petey is like every other boy. He heard it, but it didn't compute. Boys are not the smartest mammals walking the earth. If you have boys, you know this is fact. I heart Petey....
  • 28 1
 Damn right, Petey.

Don't listen to the doubters; you don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
  • 13 1
"F you, dad! I'm just gonna send it..."
  • 26 0
Mom & Dad are clearly in over their head with Petey.
  • 7 0
I guess he did slow down..... with style
  • 3 0
If he was reacting to overbearing parents anything like I did as a kid, he probably sped up just to piss them off, even if he were petrified himself
  • 5 0
C'mon, give the little guy some support. C'mon Petey, you're doing great partner.
  • 4 1
When my kids were smaller, I made up a song to remind them that its better to learn from other people's mistakes and not their own.

I listen to Dad,
Dad is always right.
They say that because
He's a being of light, light, light.

Will Petey listen next time?
Probably not but I'm sure when he's older he will tell his kids something similar. Slow Down!!!!
  • 4 0
Is it just me or after the first "PETEY, SLOW DOWN!!" you can hear a faint "F*CK NO!" ?
  • 1 0
anybody else think of the Psychotic legend of uncle Donnie skit by adam sandler?
  • 2 0
 Hahahahahaha Way to go.petey
  • 3 0
“I wanna go fast” - Ricky Bobby
  • 3 6
@masonstevens: ummm no Petey shouts back "I can't" And I get the whole young buck kicking off against the father thing being expressed here but we all know that if he had managed to slow it down a little then he might have rode it out which feels a lot better than filling your face with dusty rocks. Plus how do we know it's his dad? So many assumptions. Interesting how people see what they want to see.
  • 3 0
@landscapeben: Well, rule out uncle. Most that I've seen would be cheering Petey on.
  • 32 0
Always amazes me to see how unnatural some people look on a bike yet still are up for hitting above average features
  • 19 0
The MTBer spirit of ‘f*ck it’ is stronger than ever it seems. My equation senses detect: ‘lots of new people in the sport’ + ‘very confidence inspiring bikes’ = ‘fresh fails every friday’. (Big ones)
  • 6 0
I suspect a lot of these folks are hitting these above average features for the first and last time
  • 1 0
@gtill9000: let’s hope so because some of these are epic fails.
  • 31 0
Anyone else like the idea of a "saves" compilation video? Maybe "Sunday Saves"?? I know I'd look forward to watching it!
  • 3 0
This would be awesome...except I'd probably never make the cut (looks at hospital bills...)
  • 2 0
 Fantastic idea!
  • 1 0
PB, sounds like there might be something to this! Let's be real, if you post a "Sunday Saves", AT THE LATEST you know people are watching that first thing when the get to work on Monday!
  • 26 0
Nobody tells Petey to slow down. NOBODY.
  • 6 0
Petey needs that fugly Giro helmet and he'll be able to listen to NOBODY...
  • 1 0
 @MMOF: lol
  • 16 0
The dude full sending the log ride....
  • 14 0
That slo-mo OTB at 3:00... his dropper post extends as he's flipping over the handlebars! Epic move!
  • 5 0
went back for a re-watch hahah so weird
  • 2 2
Sex scene with metalic (or carbonic ?) partner !
  • 5 0
(to bike shop) Yeah I landed totally clean and then the front wheel just folded.....definitely warranty, probably defective,I know an engineer. You should feel lucky I'm not suing you.
  • 12 0
Crazy how so many of these jumps look extremely ill considered.
  • 17 2
Six out of Ten dentists can’t jump for sh*t.
  • 6 0
But with a few others you’re like: how on earth is it possible they ate it on that little pimple of a jump.
  • 1 1
don't need to jump when you can give yourself new teeth
  • 1 0
 Yeti says "hold my beer"
  • 2 0
@tobiusmaximum: But nine out of ten recommend it.
  • 2 0
Every week!! I'm always amazed at the people who hit jumps and features, as if it takes no practice or specific skills to do that! WTF? They're saying to themselves, "I can totally do that, even though I have no idea what the actual skills required are!"
  • 2 0
@tobiusmaximum: One in seven dwarves is grumpy...
  • 1 0
@landscapeben: judging by your other reply, I’d say you’re right.
  • 8 0
Can we get a "The Privateer Junior" YouTube show with Petey please? Someone start a petition.
  • 8 0
"I'm coming. That's what she said" *eats shit*
  • 7 1
Pinkbike, how about two Friday fails videos. One vertical, one horizontal, because vertical video seems here to stay.
  • 2 0
 Haha
  • 5 0
If I could create an app that would automatically rotate vertical video to landscape and have it scaled properly, I'd be a bazillionaire.
100% it would be called iDIOT.
  • 6 1
Sorry, but it's not a fail if your trying back flips. Over and over. That's called progression.
  • 1 0
You do realise it is one crash cought form different cameras?
  • 2 1
@pioterski: It doesn't matter how many angles it's from. I'm sure there where many attempts and any crash while trying to pull tricks mid air is progression.
  • 6 0
Last clip, “Jesus take the bars”
  • 6 1
My god. Some of these are BRUTAL
  • 1 0
I am continually amazed at people who don't seem to have the slightest idea, that it takes actual skills and techniques to hit trail features!! It's like they see a video on youtube, and think, "I should totally go out to the forest tomorrow and do that!" LMAO!!!

 Ungraceful bastards - The movie.
  • 2 1
At times, I start to wonder if wearing pads and gloves for everyday riding is necessary. Then I see all these people shred there arms legs and hands to bits and it scares sense into me.
  • 1 0
The wreck @ 43 seconds is @ Chewacla State Park and if you don't have enough speed it's a violent wipe out. I have hit that jump and the lead in is kind of sketchy.
  • 3 0
 "Oh no, don't brake."

Good advice, given a little late!
  • 4 1
Petey would fuck chuck Norris up,real bad
  • 2 0
 3:17 -> argument for MIPS?
  • 3 0
 Or argument for skills...
  • 1 0
@Dropthedebt: maybe the best comment of the week.
  • 2 0
Get that front wheel up Bobby!
  • 1 0
Hahahaha...so many turkeys. I think 2:10 was my fav. The slow-mo of that crash near the end was pretty classic too.
  • 2 0
The lad on the BMX laying face down just saying why...... So funny!
  • 2 0
Would love some saturday or sunday saves
  • 2 0
So much braking into and off the edge of jumps/drops in this one...lol
  • 1 0
Classy pants for the 3:00 rider. And he rolled it out nicely avoiding that sneaky dropper aiming for his a*shole.
  • 2 0
it makes me cringe to see how stiff these people are on jumps
  • 1 0
The only explanation can be that these are first and last attempts like someone mentioned above.
  • 1 0
Go fast, pull up. Take chances. Start small to get the feel of un-weighting the bike. Pump tracks can teach you much.
  • 2 0
Flip? yeah lets try it! gloves? no way Big Grin
  • 1 0
That second to last dude, on the Commencal… if he had only been riding a Specialized he'd've been fine... Wink
  • 1 0
Surprised the 40ft'r in Morzine isn't in more of these to be honest.
  • 1 0
I miss falling off my bike as much as riding it #brokencollarbone
  • 1 0
I would love to be able to spell what he said at 2:52.
"muh," I think.
  • 1 0
Loved the belly flop at 2:45.
  • 2 0
 Can't stop Petey!
