by Pinkbike Originals

Thibault Laly is a rider that has shown such promise in his racing career so far. Whether it's World Cup podiums or winning EWS races as a junior, his talent is self evident. After years honing his craft in the elite category, and the opportunity to have more support than ever, can Thibault conquer his demons and deliver for Pinkbike Racing?

These videos just make you love and root for the riders so much harder. Keep these guys on!

Exactly. Although I knew what was coming so desperate for Thibault to get a result after those few races. And I know they're friends from home, but when Amaury Pierron's saying Thibault's a sender and he just needs to string things together, surely it's just a question of time? And being in the right team. So that's one thing ticked off.

Yeah, it's amazing how invested you can feel, just because you've seen a little bit behind the curtain. Loving it!

@PawnSacrifice: A sender he is indeed, amazing how he held it together on that massive overshoot.

@bananowy: haha, definitely. Great to see him at Hardline too, obviously loves the big stuff.

Shame this series is over already, it was SOOO good. Thanks Ben and team, you did an amazing job this season and it was great seeing all the riders grow.

Hello there, the Final Boss is just the name of the episode and is just there to reflect Thibault's journey of overcoming mental battles. Plenty more episodes to come - and now the season is over they'll be more regularly too. Thanks for watching.

 @henryquinney: I know I shouldn't but I just couldn't help it.

Once again, the best content of any UCI DH team. Nicely done.

You know they're doing a great job filmmaking when you know what's going to happen yet your stomach is still in knots the entire time.

I really hope we'll get another season with the same team. I think especially Jackson and Thibaut have so much more to show

This is so good, not just for the production and story telling (which is another level) but because it gives such an honest insight into what it takes to compete at this level. I hope the Disco-fun bus running the show next year don’t screw things up so teams like this don’t get a shout. No one arrives at this level perfectly formed and the struggle that sits behind makes the success that much sweeter !

 Once again a great episode!
Really like that it, instead of just pushing out a video asap after a race, focuses on the longer term stories of riders over a couple races. For one: it keeps those videos out of the masses of videos from the world cup rounds, on the other hand it gives room for the stories to grow. Sometimes there are races where there isn't an obvious story. So instead of just having to put something out for the sake of putting something out, this gives so much more room for it to develop. Really enjoying it!

Regarding @pink505 's comment: i would rather mention the results in the "story of the race" videos. Easier than making a separate video and does not interfere with this series at all. Since the host/payer for those videos covering WC for Pinkbike is also the "title sponsor" of the team, there is no reason to not mention it separately.

Good thoughts. I was really hoping for 1 per race, but you're probably right - this makes for a better story.

Well done pinkbike and Thiabault , these videos are so good almost like a Netflix series. Good to see Cathro acting like a big bro at Fort William to take the pressure off. Good luck PB race team , also the coolest jerseys (well maybe apart from GT).

Awesome storytelling!!!!This series is better than some of the actual races!

Love the mentorship vibes given off by Peter. That's one great mechanic!

Just brilliant, again. Study, a job, and downhill, such a solid effort, Thibault. Another example of how hard it is to go racing. Pinkbike doing something special here for these riders.

So nicely done! Loved the series, can’t wait for next season. Only 9 months to go…

It's easy to get caught up in supporting the front runners who are protected and where qualifying likely isn't really an issue. This was a great insight into the riders just behind that front group who must have a whole extra level of stress on qualy day. Here's hoping Thibaut pushes on to that next level next season.

I had that same thought. It’s brutal really - you have to push your limits and a single error can be the difference between 25th, 125th, DNF, a broken collarbone, etc.

As we say in Scotland, Thibaut just needs tae gie it Laly!!! Anyway comparing him to his fellow countrymen for example Bruni and Pierron , they seem to have a certain sportive arrogance (in a very good way) maybe this is something that could help. I'm wishing Laly all the good vibes for the future, and by the way you guys your videos are next level,,,,, when's the film coming????

Great video as always. I can't help but think a sports psychologist would help Thibault with his mental game.
