The Side of DH We Don’t Talk About
Pinkbike Racing Season 2 Episode 4

After her 4th place finish at World Champs, Aimi begins to question whether or not she belongs in World Cup racing. With only a few races left to impress factory teams, it is imperative she finish her final year in Juniors strong. Can she dig deep and find the intensity needed to finish off the year on top?

Super proud of everything you accomplished over the last two seasons. Plenty of ups, more downs than are ideal but loads of great memories Smile

Shes my crush too man. Great content from PBR as usual, time to fund an Enduro project too!

The mental and physical toughness required to perform at that level is insanely high. The preparation for one race decided by mere seconds is complex and long. The results are a snapshot of 5 minutes out of weeks of training.

And to do all this at such a young age? Amazing. This video gives me new appreciation for just how much these athletes work and riders like Aimi deserves all the support and words of encouragement people can give.

To see a teenage girl with this much passion and resilience is really incredible. The level of transparency is wild... she is really putting herself out there to be seen deeply. I'm a massive fan.

This continues to be the absolute best content about racing out there. How that now money is thrown at the project so that is able to continue. Can't imagine how these young riders do what they do with all the pressure on them.

Imagine going to work and your company hired 100 of the best "insert profession here."

Bosses multiple "every 2 weeks you have a task, and that task is 90% of your overall grade, also we need your PR level to be otherworldly but you have help for that, but the first task, its all on you once the go button hits."

Ya.....no wonder the mental stresses are high. It's like being in sales for some of the cellular companies.

One of the hardest things in the world to learn how to do is balance fear and confidence. Being scared is a good thing, as it keeps you aware and grounded. Be cognizant of it, but not focused on it. Building confidence in yourself and ability takes time. Aimi, you will continue to learn and progress, keep cracking on!

Loved the section where she was about to go into the start hut and was having all the flash backs. So well done!! Funny that she's that young, the "old clips" of her are of decent quality haha.

found that really captivating, really good story telling. Great job to everyone.

Where to start? Aimi took us on an intense heart felt journey.

To win WC nowadays you need to put everything on the line and ride on the thin edge. Lots of respect for you racers that carry on every year and risk it all for the sake of the competitive nature of the sport.

Look forward seeing Aimi continue to have fun her bike and hopefully, have a long and successful career in DH racing.

Amazing edit and production, I damn near teared up there on several occasions, but that's probably because I'm a failed DH'er and the disappointment runs deep.

Gwin just continues to be the most insightful racer. Ami... Your young, your sandcastle is great, every day build a bigger sandcastle, you got this. The natural talent is there for sure.

Incredible content, PB. Truly. And I don’t particularly follow DH racing. Wow.

Well done PB for the recent content. It‘s very good.
I fully agree with Ben at the end! That‘s a very strong feeling

there was a way to fit "myriad" in there some way or another.

 Stop the autoplay, please!
  • 2 5
what if there was this little button that all of a sudden ....freezes... the video. Immediately ending your auto-play horrors.

@formerbmxguy: Or what if it just didnt autoplay in the first place?

@gabiusmaximus: view count drives up ad revenue.

It's way of the road Bubbs. Sometimes she goes, sometimes it doesn't.
  • 3 0
@formerbmxguy: Exactly. It'd be less annoying if they just openly admitted thats why they do it. Instead of putting a tick box in settings that is supposed to switch off autoplay, that does f*ck all. It's the underhanded nature of it that leaves a sour taste.

Aimi will be world champion one day... yes Aimi.
