The last 6 'win-it-wednesday's' have had no winner announced. Please fix this contest format Pinkbike.
  • 80 2
To the top. There's no reason why these aren't posts aren't updated with winners, the current contest should be templated with the previous winners in it, or link to the old contest pages.
  • 36 1
While not a strict requirement, announcing winners for draw integrity reasons is strongly encouraged. That said, their contest conditions aren't 100 percent compliant with Canadian contesting laws, but I'm not going to help them out on that one...

 Don’t look in @mikelevy ‘s garage…
  • 43 1
@Losifer: I love how you flatter Levy suggesting he can afford a garage. Dude lives in Squamish. Very few can afford a garage there.
  • 22 0
@whitebirdfeathers: Good point. Maybe he stashes the loot in his parent’s garage…
  • 48 0
Totally agree, I often question if these prizes even get drawn or if it is just a marketing ploy.
  • 40 0
Agree that winners should be announced for these larger prizes. I am actually one of those winners, so I can vouch that they do get drawn, and they do follow through with the goods.
  • 16 7
 @Losifer: his wife's boyfriend's garage, actually.
  • 9 0
Didn’t know there were winners in the first place. Thought it was a trap to get you to sign up for newsletters.
  • 12 1
 Last 6?

I'm entering this forever and I never ever managed to find one single winner
  • 5 3
@pakleni: that’s on you cause staff explained where to find the winners multiple times in the last few months
  • 3 0
@whitebirdfeathers: where else does he store his 2021 Toyota Supra ?
  • 5 2
@pakleni: They should only give the bikes to people in Basel, that way the bike thieves can get almost-new bikes too. It's kind of like trickle-down economics...
  • 6 0
@powderhoundbrr: I thought the same thing but I won a Devinci Spartan on the Pinkbike Instagram page a few years ago. Still can't believe the small amount of promoting they did. Just shared the result to their Instagram story for a day and that was it.
  • 2 0
@komar: Wow cool to win a bike!!
  • 1 0
@pakleni: I know a guy on a motorcycle website who won a bike on a PB drawing. I didn't know it was such a huge coincidence until years later.
  • 16 1
Next win it Wednesday, everyone up vote the first comment like this. once we hit 1000 up votes for a comment, the pinkbike editors are notifed. PLEASE!!! WE NEED WINNERS PINKBIKE!!!
  • 3 0
5 days a no reply from anyone at PB. I guess that tells you all you need to know about these "contests"
  • 1 0
@komar: did you get the bike?
  • 5 0
Also, if Pinkbike can keep reposting old win it Wednesdays, why can't we keep resubmitting our entries!?
  • 1 0
@SteamedHams313: what did u win? just interested
  • 1 0
@Dicman-Stroganoff: They all likely went on holidays already, just like those government workers are either on vacation or planning for retirement every day!
  • 3 0
@korev: is it really an issue?! Been eyeing some jobs in Basel.
  • 1 0
 @SteamedHams313: Congrats! What'dya win?!
  • 1 0
A friend at work recently won the Marzocchi fork and shock. No joke.

Yeah, f*cking Pinkbike motherf*ckers. Giving away free shit and not taking the time to tell us who won!? If there's going to be a contest for free stuff, it better be done exactly how @shoreboy1866 wants it done. We would rather not have contests then then not know who won.
  • 1 0
@dirtyburger: It is. Kinda. But don't worry. We here tend to be over insured, but even with basic household insurance, if your bike is stolen from the house or around the house you'll get back full amount (If you have proof of purchase, of course). So, the thing to do is to buy yourself a nice bike and then pray to be stolen every 3 years

For around the town is good to have bike specific insurance if you want a full 100% return
  • 1 0
@pakleni: yeah maybe where you're from... Insurance for bikes in other places is more hit and miss, you have to read the fine print. Mine won't cover my bike unless it's locked with a specifically rated, angle grinder resistant motorbike chain, indoors and with the pope's blessing of security.
  • 2 0
@dirtyburger: A lot of bikes do get stolen here Frown Other than that it's a great place to live, there's some good biking in the area and the Alps and the Vosges aren't far away
  • 2 0
@pakleni: My household insurance tops out at 2K CHFs so I had to buy dedicated insurance for my MTBs
  • 1 0
@korev: I’d never bother riding and mtb to commute anyway. Yeah been aiming to land somewhere in near there. Skiing and bike dreams. Nice city too last I breezed through.
  • 1 0
@korev: Mine covered everything minus 200 chf (I think) that one has to pay every time after some claim (Generali, the usual package)
  • 1 1
@whitebirdfeathers: hilarious you think these guys aren't getting paid
  • 1 0
@poozank: getting “paid” for the bike industry rents you a shitty basement in squamish. Get real thinking they make anything reasonable.
  • 1 0
@korev: my deductable is 10,000. So if they steal one bike. nothing from insurance.
  • 3 0
 @fabwizard: if you're for real that's mental, 10k deductable!? :O
  • 2 0
@bunjiman82: yup. And if you make a claim your insurance goes up.

You can reduce deductible but then I would likely be paying 1000s more annually.
  • 1 0
@fabwizard: ICBC sucks. I got a $4000 rider specifically for my bike and it cost $10/mth. I mainly got it to cover my bike in case airline handlers kill it, the theft coverage is just bonus.
  • 3 0
@bishopsmike: I didnt know you could get bicycle insurance from ICBC.

Mine are on my house insurance.
  • 2 0
@fabwizard: Nah, I'm in Ottawa. $10/month was the cost added to my house insurance, for $500 deductible. $10,000 deductible is insane, even for a house!
  • 2 0
@fabwizard: Wow (and not in a good way)
  • 1 0
@warmerdamj: Ok, first of all *than

Second of all the point is we don't know if anyone is actually winning, not that people are trying to make the contest exactly like they want.

Chill out
  • 2 0
@Losifer: Levy’s garage is already filled with non-street-legal Mini exhaust parts and bags of empty Monster energy cans
  • 4 0
@Moe2344: Having my grammar corrected hurts man, I can't believe I missed that.
  • 1 2
@warmerdamj: Third grade was a tough year man
  • 2 0
I feel there’s much better on with ASTONMTB and he actually shows the winners!!
  • 2 0
Still sitting here waiting to see any updates with this.. sadly the contest is apparently still open but ended December 13.. these little contests are sounding more like links to get traffic to there webpage rather than an exciting experience.
  • 180 1
That's it boys and girls. I already entered. No need to waste your time.

  • 2 0

@mrkumro: Yes, ones actually fun, while the other is dragging a 35 lb bike on XC trails

Gmail makes unsubscribing very easy now days
  • 13 3
I very much would like to win this one and give back to the community by reselling it right here on PB!
  • 5 3
That's beautiful! But as for your typo, your actually giving it to us on PB right? Not "reselling". Don't worry, we'll split it in equal parts. I'd love me some new SDG grips, my current grips are a bit torn. Shifter cable would have been great too as I feel mine is due for replacement, but it appears they went a bit cheap and left out the cable. I won't complain, fresh grips would be great too.

Is it intended that there are two newsletter sign up checkboxes? Or is it a trap?

Now the question is 152 or 170? Deep thoughts...
  • 1 0
 That 152 would be incredible.
