I've never won anything in my life, and I have no hope that I ever will. But still I entered just to believe there was hope in this world, and not just deceit by the marketing goblins that harvest our souls.

These are I-9, not Hope. Sorry bout your soul. Many have gone on to live quite productive lives without one.

I've won two contests, one was a random drawing for a watch at Watchuseek put on by a forum member, one was a Pikachu plushie for creating a Lego replica of Pikachu from red/blue version.

I won a JarJar Binks poster the year The Phantom Menace came out. I had my name entered into the draw for holding the door for someone. All my luck was used up in grade two.

I won a set of Superstar pedals on the Pinkbike advent calendar about 14 years ago (I think), I still use them to this day. They are also the only thing I have ever won.

I won 4 Yankees tickets in a luxury suite including a meeting with Reggie Jackson after the game from a supermarket contest. Will never forget it. My brother made him a hand drawn poster which we found in the trash can outside the suite as we were leaving. Bro was crushed. Reggie was hitting on my mom right in front of my dad. He became a Mets fan shortly thereafter. Ah.....the Good ol' days of the late Eighties.

@j-t-g: jar jar binks is my spirit animal, thanks for rubbing in what a loser I am (sic). Do you still have the jar jar poster? Wanna trade for a Tom Baker ( 4th Doctor) poster?

I won a pair of DMR Vault Lacon oil slick pedals from MBUK after writing a letter slating them for only publishing articles on high end MTB’s.
I then fitted them to my £5.5k Canyon…

i won a VHS of the 1996 version of Flipper
i also won a might ducks hockey jersey
both of these were from mailing in a postcard to the local tv stations as a kid

i won some boston celtics tickets in a raffle at a golf tournament around the same time

in 2007 i also won $200 (NZD), a pair of spy sunglasses (which still live in my dad's car as emergency backups) and a nitro snowboard (i'm a skier, sold it to a friend for another $200) at a rail jam at turoa

living through on a nice 17 year drought of winning

 @twonsarelli:
I also won a Ducks Jersey back in the 90s signed by Troy Loney

@mchartier3: that's hilarious. mine was not signed by anyone.. except maybe my mum put my name on the tag

The only thing you're winning from these contests is a lifetime supply of email spam.

I won a complete road bike once, a pro team replica bike with crappy entry level shimano wheels but decent aluminium frame and ultegra 10s groupset for the early 2000's era.

But the raffle was so much more "local" so the odds were much higher than something on pinkbike that I am not even authorized to participate to.

I also won a complete Lego Set once as a kid for making the nicest build of the day in the supermarket while mom was doing groceries. That was nice.

I won a weed whacker at ace hardware when I was 6. My dad sold it to the neighbor and I never saw the money… so I guess I didn’t win anything after all.

I thought I won a GT pro performer when i was 6. Got there with my ticket in hand. Turns out i actually was third place and won a hot dog. You talk about crushed.

Yes, please take all my personal information for a 0.02% chance of winning some MTB gear.

 You vastly overestimate your odds.
  • 24 1
You vastly overestimate the importance of your name and email address. It's already been sold 100x over anyway from all the porn sites you signed up for.

@warmerdamj: But there are apparently so many single hot moms in my area. Who wouldn't

@DizzyNinja: I always wonder if these things are fake or not. I figure they couldn't because people could sue. I don't really care if they have my email. Here's to not winning!!
