How does it work?

From September 15th to October 15th record your rides on the Trailforks app. Once you've joined the challenge, Trailforks will automatically generate your contest entry, and notify you with 10, 20, & 30-day badges. Trailforks does the leg work and provides online leaderboards to see how you stack up, so you can focus on your rides! Riding 10 out of the 30 days enters you for a chance to win a set of Schwalbe Tacky Chan Tires. Recording a ride on 20 out of the 30 days enters you for a chance to win an all-inclusive 3-day mountain bike trip that takes place in Oakridge, Oregon. And riding 30 of 30 days earns you the 30-day badge in addition to entering you for the tires and trip—we are jealous of all that riding!

Challenge Rules
• The challenge will run in North America only (excluding Québec). You can still participate and earn badges if you live elsewhere, but will not be eligible for prizes.
• All recorded rides must include at least one trail as mapped on Trailforks and be at least 30 minutes long to count for the contest.
• Anyone riding 10 out of the 30 days will be eligible to win the First Prize for the 3 sets of Schwalbe Tacky Chan tires (3 separate winners).
• Anyone riding 20 out of the 30 days will be eligible to enter the draw for the grand prize (a guided MTB trip - there will be two grand prizes).
• Anyone riding 30 out of the 30 days will earn a 30-day Trailforks Challenge badge.

How to Enter?
Sign in to the Trailforks app and search for the 30-Day Ride Challenge on the "Badges & Contests" page. Or join the contest on the website here. Once you’ve joined the contest, your daily rides will be automatically accounted for in the Ride Challenge, so all you have to do is keep riding. You can record your rides using the Trailforks app or connect your Strava to Trailforks. Let us handle the rest.

I thought, from the title, the challenge was to make a schwalbe tire last 30rides

The rider with the most remaining lugs WINS!!
  • 17 1
No one could win (just like all of PB's contests TBH).

My Schwalbe tires (Super Trail casing, Soft compound) have lasted 3+weeks of alpine downhill with 3000+VM days and regular UK riding

Anyone here remember the Return to Earth July 2019 challenge? Cool to see a riding challenge like this happening again. If it's like last time the winner will already have multiple sets of Tacky Chans haha.

Ride July... I loved that challenge. Real shame that Im not eligible to win prizes, but riding 30 days straight is great.

I did it and it was one of the best summers of my life. Making time to ride everyday was a big challenge.
Took a different role/promotion shortly after and sadly I have not been able to replicate that sort of balance since.

@bigtim: yeah the challenges are awesome, they need to do them more often.

@Alex-E: try this sometime greatcyclechallenge.com It's hard for your director to get too mad when you're riding for charity.

Genuinely curious to know what have we done in Quebec to upset so many contest organizers to exclude the province?

It's the french haha Let me put it this way, France is playing Russia in the football world cup, which team would you want to loose....

Quebec created a bunch of regulation about giveaways so it's easier to just exclude them than jump through all the hoops.
  • 2 0
@elchute: thanks for that, those are pretty onerous! No wonder co's don't bother
  • 1 0
Same reason why you cannot run contests in some US states. The rules change from area to area and it becomes too much of a hassle.
  • 3 0
@elchute: "Quebec's sweepstakes laws are designed to protect its residents from scammers , to ensure there's a level playing field, and to guarantee that prizes are awarded as promised." Seems like a good idea.

Return to earth cahllenge in July 2019 was great and I did all 30 days back then (no luck in any raffles though xD). Too bad this is only NA Frown The grand prize I kind of understand, but it's not that expensive to send a set of tyres....
Never the less, I'll still be riding as much as I can in the fall/early winter season.

How do some people already have 10, 20 & 30 day badges for this contest 4 days in? 65 10 day badges already awarded. Definitely not a broken contest but hey it is a good excuse for a personal challenge of riding 30 days in a row.

I was wondering that myself, I joined up and got a day 2 and now I have a day 5 but on my first day I saw somebody had 10 already but it's only been going since the 15th Very confused
  • 2 0
Some have already completed 30 again after it was reset/fixed.
  • 2 0
And again...day 28 has 1128 completed except day 27 just started 10 hours ago in the earliest time zone...

Flights not included. Here's some bus fare.
  • 1 0
It mentions gift cards are included to help cover travel expenses. If you choose to take the Greyhound, that's your choice.

How to try and drum up more Trailforks subscribers...
  • 3 1
Oakridge sucks. The trails are all gnarly and there's way too much climbing. There's only one pub and its not next to anything interesting. Don't come here. Stay in California. Please

Will a ride recorded by Strava and sync’s to TF work? It did back in 2019 with the return to earth challange
  • 2 1
It will but there is a MASSIVE backlog queue of rides synced from Stava. Unless you have Trailforks Pro and get bumped to the start of the queue.

The contest rules clearly state that you have to ride at least 20 DAYS to be eligible for the main prize, but the Trailforks badges are being awarded based on number or RIDES. If I get 20 rides in am I still eligible?
  • 2 0
So is this a solo 3-day trip with two separate winners, or will there be one winner and they get to pick a guest?
  • 1 0
 Cool! Signed up!

One thing needs clarification.
This write up says the ride needs to be 30 min. The app says it needs to be 2km?

Which one is correct?
  • 1 0
7 days in I got the 10 day badge. 7 days in others have the 20 and 30 day badge. EDIT....I see it counts the number of rides not the number of ridden days.
  • 1 0
Does that mean it has to be the trail in its entirety? Or as long as you're on at least one trail?
  • 2 0
I guess I'll have to upload that pathway to work as a trail first
  • 1 0
Contest does not stipulate green trails being prohibited...
  • 1 0
What happened to the Terms and Conditions page? Its not loading at the moment.

What happens if you ride and a badge doesn’t get awarded?

I rode yesterday and didn’t get a badge…
  • 1 0
My sept 20th ride didn’t get me a badge for some reason. Who can I contact to reconcile this?

Thanks
  • 1 0
Had another ride that didn’t create a badge… weird.

Sept 20th and sept 25th.
  • 1 0
I had a bunch of rides between sept 20-28 not load as well
  • 1 0
How about a few more sets for the 30 day go getters?
  • 1 1
whats stopping me from just turing on trailforks on my drive to work the days i dont get a ride in
  • 3 0
Perhaps the rule that says must ride at least one trail that's mapped on trailforks?
  • 1 0
Is your drive to worked marked as an mtb trail on TF?
  • 8 0
A bunch of trees and some gnarly drops that will probably destroy your Subaru.

Next is the Eddie Muddy challenge…..

I'm here for the badges, not the badgers Batman

How’s trails in Oakridge these days? The last time I went they felt outdated…
  • 1 0
Just left there on Monday. Eula, ATCA, Larison, Dead all riding so good after some rain.

The greater Oakridge area, which includes the entire Middle Fork district of Willamette National Forest as well as the portions of Deschutes NF in the vicinity of Waldo Lake and the Cascade Lakes Recreation Area, has about 460 miles of single track trail open to mountain bikers. The focus of the volunteers and trail managers in the area is primarily keeping all of that open and clear of deadfall, and not making bike-specific or bike-optimized flow or jump or freeride lines.

There has been new construction of a Cloverpatch trail extension, with the long term goal to make the Alpine-Tire-Cloverpatch-Alpine (aka ATCA) ride entirely single track from the top at Kate's Cut-in all the way to the bottom near the parking lot by the red covered bridge. It's still going to be sustainable bench-cut single track like everything else.

 @tbmaddux: I see.

That cabin looks chill. I could see hanging out there for three days.
